I just read that the producer of The Bill has ben sacked due to complaints that the show is becoming too soapie-like.
I just really want to see Cathy Bradford finally get what is coming to her.
"...becoming..."????? :eek:
It all comes down to ratings. The producers couldn't care less what happens with the storyline!

Havn't watched it for ages because its deviated from what i believe made it credible and enjoyable.

I've thought lately that the show had taken a small change in direction, showing more policing, and less bedroom antics.
It needs a resident baddy or two, preferably a bent cop, to provide interest, and I was under the impression that ratings had improved since the major changes some couple (few?) years ago.
Yeah, can't wait to see Bradford and Hunter go for a ride down the river. Maybe they will do the tango before then?:(

The gay storyline has been done to death. Does the new Aussie pick up the pieces with the blonde ?
I heard it was a new producer from "Footballers Wives" that had taken over the last couple of years. It's turned into a really different series, but it's still pretty entertaining.

A once great show that has really gone downhill.
It used to be something that could entertain while still giving you an idea of the true life of a police officer. It has become another soap opera more concerned with who is sleeping with each other and over the top stories.
I don't bother with it anymore.

The new music sounds like utter crap.
And each and every story line manages to go for 4 weeks at least these days.

I liked th eold 1/2 hour self contained episodes. The soapie stuff sucks.
The rot really set in with the stupid Rosie Fox/Eddie Santini storyline and its been downhill since.

I want to see Robbie Cryer get Cathy Bradford and rip her wavy locks out.
And I believe this Saturday is the finale for Luke Ashton.
