All those who put in for the Box Hill player sponsorships this year, please be advised that the next luncheon is Saturday 20 August v Williamstown.

If you are interested in attending, I may have two tickets, pending confirmation that the winners are unable to attend because of living/working arrangements.

Criteria:-
1) You must be able to attend the match and function 20.8.11.
2) You have not been to a President's Lunch at Box Hill this season that was awarded from the BF BHH sponsorship prize.
3) You must PM me your interest with your real name, email and mobile number so I /Box Hill can contact you if need be also have a ticket in your name for collection if I inform you that you are a successful receipient.
4) You must be a sponsor of this year (should we be unable to find a sponsor meeting criteria 1-4, I will inform you of that and open to others if necessary)
5) Please post some a report on your experience at the lunch and share your day with us on the board.

Box Hill President's Lunch

Sorry for the delay guys but just a few words about the Presidents lunch held last Sunday. It was our last home game so the final President's Lunch for the year.

The Pres Tony Pinwell spoke about his first year back at the helm. He spoke about sponsorships and thanked all the major box hill sponsors. he was hoping that Box Hill put up a good performance for the rest of the year.

Special guests were
Alex Fevola: who is an Ocsober ambassador a good cause that helps kids make the right choices about drugs and alcohol by getting programs and the message out to the schools and other youth groups.

The Ocsober ambassador requested that we give up alcohol for the month of October which led to a few jeers around the place :D

Jono Bence: The Box Hill hawks runner who shared a few humourous encounters while doing his job. He was rapt to be involved and looking forward to the rest of the year and hopefully finals.

The federal member for Chisholm Anna Burke was also the there she has had a standing bet Box Hill V Willi with the federal member fo Gellibrand , Nicola Roxon. The loser gives some money to the winners selected charity.

I also met Box Hill Hawks player and former president and life member Brian Couglan. He played 230 odd games for box hill and was a member of the team that won its first game. It was a pleasure to speak to a man with genuine passion for the club that he has been a part of for 40 odd years. Even though we were getting smashed it was just great to hear him encourage / berate the boys out there on the field made the game bearable. well done Brian :thumbsu:

Nothing else to add really the food and drinks were good and really made up for a poor contest out there on the field. I recommend that some of you Box Hill supporters try and get to one of these functions next year. I know i will.
