It is easy to look like a star in a team of stars. He did at Essendon BUT when we needed him to step up he went missing. The next couple of yrs will tell us something if the Lions go downwards.

Yeah that's kinda how I felt..in our 2000 demolition team, he fit in nicely, and I dare say that Brisbane's current team is almost as good as we were in that season...so Blake is slotting in well, I think he's certainly improved quite a bit, a very solid, more consistent player, but still lackign the ability to break a game open.
Mind you, he did something good every time he had the ball today. Got himself a stack of goal assists.

Good bloke, sad that he had to leave, nfortunate that we didn't have any choice in the matter. Got maximum value for his departute tho imho...
I don't recall seeing his name on the champions of essendon list, however.

Not sure when it ends, but I did hear that he might be going to Carlton...? :D At least he'd be back in the state. :rolleyes:
Did he do much all year to deserve a Premiership? :S Meh. We got the better deal - Cupes has been a lot better for us than Cara has for them. Sure, he won a flag, but you'd have to wonder what he'd be feeling about it all.
Not an essendon champion any more-A brissy champ!!!!!!!
