Big Clash today! Giants need to win to stay in the hunt for 2nd spot (Giants play the good sides/AFL reserves heaps while Ainsle only play really play guys in the Eastern Confrence apart from 1 or 2 games. Thats why Ainsle is ahead). Ainsle have Sydney in the last week of the H&A season. If Sydney can win that and the Giants can we our last 2 games, we might snatch 2nd spot via percentage! The top 2 get a double chance in the finals....that is always crucial.

Last time these guys met it was back in Round 10 at Blacktown. The Giants easily won on the day, 17.9.111 to 11.8.74.

However Giants have quite a few names out today and far from full strength. Will be interesting to see how we handle it. Infact we missing most of our star players like Shiel, Hampton, Hombsch, Treloar, Clifton, Miles, Aylett and Cooyou all out just going off the top my head. All those guys are easily in our best squad. I would tip the Giants for a game like today easily, but with the players we have out....it will be interesting.

As usual, Giants will be providing minute by minute coverage at www.gwsgiants.com.au/giants-live

Does anyone know if there is any online video streaming of this match via the Suns?

Not a great day...no Cameron, Shiel, Hampton, Hombsch, Treloar, Clifton, Miles, Aylett and Cooyou really hurt us....all are in our best side. Woeful day actually

Final score was 22.17 149 to 7.10-52.

I remember being a bit disappointed in the game. I was thinking and wondering how they're going to go if GWS don't get any significant marquee players until the end of 2012, since they didn't look anywhere near AFL level. They could have a long road indeed!

But then GiantForce cleared it up, since we pretty much played GWS Reserves. :p

Thought Israel Folau was probably one of the better players in the side, to be honest. Didn't see much of the ball, but was moving around the ground well. Has a strange set shot action, but it does the job. :thumbsu:

Good luck for the rest of the year, Giants!

Ugle is going to be a very good player next season, has the skills and quick thinking to be a classy AFL player. Already have him pencilled in for my supercoach team next year...

Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I couldn't find a more appopriate one.

Does anyone know if GWS finals games for the NEAFL will be played at home? All the Swans Reserves' finals are played in Canberra.
