1 - For ****s sake dont trade Solly!

2- And don't get Brown, we don't need his soft arse anywhere near our hallowed Windy Hill.

3- Promote Courtney Johns

4- Promote Ben Haynes

5- Draft a few of: R.Dyson, J.Campbell, R.Bonson, J.Nash, C.Stewart, A.Walker

6- Trade 1 or 2 of D.Jacobs, A.Henneman, C.McGrath

7- Use above to gain an experienced (cheap) ruckman eg Ray Hall NOT has-been hacks who can't get a game for Carlton (M.Allan)

Absolutely agree, except that I don't want to lose Jacobs.

Agree totally but I would not want to lose Jacobs. Brown is not worth it and I hope we don't get Matthew Allen. What is wrong with Steve McKee?

I'm a big fan of Solomon, but if he is trying to squeeze the club for money he can f*** right off to Carlton.

This club doesn't need any direction from us. They are headed in the right direction. Have been for a long time now.

Bozza..you can just about guarantee (I'll say I'll back London to a brick on it, to quote a phrase) that 3 and 4 will definitely happen.

I`m starting to think if he wants more moolah then he can **** right off. He has , for me, fallen into the Leigh Colbert area, there are many similarities to colberts shocking treatment of Geelong to what Solomon may do to us.
Don`t be silly Solly.

I'm just worried how a tap ruckman like matty allan will fare against a basing brute like Keating...

1. If he's only interested in money, he can walk. If you love something, set it free. If Solly loves Essendon, he'll come back. If he doesn't, he never did.

2. I'd take Brown in an instant if the price was right.

3. Yes, and work him into a key forward role ASAP.

4. Yes.

5. Sounds good to me. A couple of those Calder Cannons blokes might not be bad either.

6. Only if you can get something for them. Don't trade them for the sake of trading them.

7. Get one. Anyone. Even Allan. I'm not going to watch Henneman get towelled for a whole season whenever Hille has a rest.

8. Don't trade Misiti.

I think everyone (not just on this thread) needs to chill out on the Dean Solomon slagging. The guy is a great player and he wants to stay at the club. However, like every professional sportsman he is letting his agent look around and try and get him as much money as he can. Which is fair enough.

When you look at the life of a footballer, they only can earn money from the game for 10 - 15 years, so, if any of us were put in the same situation we would be doing exactly what he is doing.

Solly, has done some great things for the club, helped us win a flag and the way he came back this year has been an inspiration. It would be fantastic to see him at Essendon for the remainder of his career, but, then again, it would also be great to see Mark Mercuri realise how terrible his decline in form has been and play for the base salary, but, that is not going to happen.

Draft picks. People have described this year's pool as being "weak", "shallow", "a mystery".

Let's not forget, out of a ****load of youngsters playing football around the country, the youngsters that are picked in the draft are the cream of the crop. And those that are picked in the top #20 are all future 10 year players. There are those that have failed for some reason, but that's not due to any lack of talent.
