The trade rumour-mill is running strong. I mentioned this earlier as a weak possibility and now I've heard the same thing from my mate inside the club.
Hawks are resigned to the fact that Rawlings is leaving so are arranging a 3-way. Rawlings to the Roos...Motlop, Teague and a pick to the Dogs and Brown to the Hawks.

There is no way the Dogs are going to agree to that - Teague is too small and Motlop has already peaked (I gather you're talking about Shannon). Where would the Roos play Rawlings anyway? They couldn't have him and Petrie at CHF.

I'm sure the Roos could fit him, most sides could.

Well Rawlings was said to have had a meeting with Peter Rhode not long ago so why not just a straight swap of Rawlings and Brown. Maybe throw in a few draft picks (both sides) to even things up.

Rawlings says he wants to play finals football.
Regardless of how you or i may rate Geelong and Hawthorn's chances, both clubs are more likely finalists in the near future than the Wooden Spooners.

True. However im beginning to think he is more worried about contract longevity more then anything else. Only time will tell i guess.
Heard that Brown is almost certantly going to become a Hawk, how it all pans out i really dont know.
But a family friend of mine seems preety sure that Brown will end up with Hawthorn, i dunno how much merrit he has but he did tip both Bucklet and Goodes to tie, he didnt have the Roo though. Make of it what you will but i would be rapt to see Brown in Hawthorn colours.

My aren't we titchy? I'm posting news as I hear it from, yes, within the club. Instead of bagging me, why not try applying some intellect and figuring out that trade time makes those within each club scurry round like drunken ants trying to keep players and get new ones.
And, if you think I'm posting contradictory info just for the hell of it, you should hear some of the goss I put up with that's too incredible to credit.
I pass on exactly what I hear..which changes daily and probably will till Oct 12.

I'm not twitchy, just found it amusing that you attempted to give your info credibility by claiming it came from within the club and then go on to post contradictory statements.
If you can't see the stupidity in that - well obviously you can't - yes I agree, your intelligence = 0. Your info has as much credibility as tige19's hot news from his uncle's cousin's mate's sister.
Credible information from reliable sources - look those words up in the dictionary little fellas, otherwise it is just speculation or personal opinion.

Yes it is funny. It's hilarious. Did you not get what I said in my reply? of course they are contradictory because the club itself (as most are) has no fixed idea. I am just reporting what I hear. And of course it's stupid, the stupidity is inherent during pre-trade time but if you can't see that and instead blame one person then as I said..intelligence = 0.
As for the words you want me to look up, little fella... I'll repeat what I said. I have posted those RUMOURS as I have been told them by a person connected to the Hawthorn board. That's more credible than most don't you think? I'm deeply sorry they don't all

Have you looked those words up in the dictionary yet? You just admitted you posted rumours for the hell of it because supposedly they come from a source "close to the board". The fact that the info is contradictory proves that it is not credible.

The fact that the info is contradictory does NOT prove it is not credible. It merely proves my assertion before... that these news items change daily and what could be "the inside word" on a Tuesday is just hot air on a Wednesday.
I'm not trying to be credible. I couldn't give a rat's clacker how I come across. I am passing on items of news concerning Hawthorn players that I hear about to all our supporters. Isn't this the point of this website?
If you don't like it, I'm really sorry but lump it. To me, news that comes from a source connected to our board is probably of interest to some supporters - even if nothing comes of it.
Hope you can comprehend that. But as I said, if you can't then lump it. It's of little matter to me what you think

Everyone has a right to their own opinion but if you post something and make claims that it comes from "a credible insider..blah blah", expect your info to be questioned.

Sundog you contraDICK yourself, you tell JJ you dont care what he thinks of your comments and so on but you keep biting you clown. whenever he says something stirring you up you cant help yourself you have to have a go back at him. your a sore loser, you cant handle being wrong! The bulldogs have already came out and made it quite clear that they will play hard ball and will only accept quality for brown, proven high class players not second string players like S.Motlop and D.Teague. they have too many middle size players as it is they wont recruit more of them they need talls and key position players. just because you sit next to your computer and make up stories with your dictionary and thesaurus in your hand so you sound smart dosnt mean you have any knowlege about football. i think you have just had too much sun so you should go back into your kennel!!!

Not gonna happen.
If the Hawks want Brown, they will have to give up either Rawlings or Hay. Its as simple as that.
O.K.....so Rawlings is off to the Cats or the Dees, Hawks get Pick 5 or 7 or something to on trade to the Bullies , then we get Brown.
Simple........Hawks way ahead in this deal. Brown can be used as a small forward kick his 50-60 goals , or in tun be used in the midfield or on the wing , where he played in his early days. Hawks can nab themselves a player that can play a couple of roles and a highly skilled one at that!
I'd be wrapped about picking him up. Would certainly take the pain away from losing Rawlings!
