Just looked on fox sports web site, and under the heading pies chase Brown Stevens it said that molloy will get his marching orders this week, andthe bulldogs are interested in him for the development of the younger players.

Hope this is not true...Smorgo said today he's looking at players between 20-25 years old. I've also been told by a Collingwood mate that Molloy will more than likely retire if he is delisted.

Molloys best days are behind him. Lets forget about him

About the only thing he'd help develop in our young players is an appetitite for meat pies, going by the size of him.

A good, no, very average bullocking type player. Now, THERE is the definitive overated player.

It took the Pies a couple of years to figure out that the Michael/Molloy trade (and whoever else) was stacked heavily in favour of the Lions (Michael will have three premiership medallions in his keeping before he's finiished).

Guess who's laughing now?

I can save Molloy and ourselves the trouble. He's always been a dud.Originally posted by doggies40

I remember him killing our backline with strength and size when with Brisbane in 97 or 98 at Optus Oval.
If he didn't mark it, their rovers were cleaning it up.

perhaps, molloy in a package. what about we put molloy and our 1st pick into this "package". but i reckon we need something else in it. seriously, honestly, whose/what addition would make that trade a real goer?

Ching, that was half a liftime (for most of our posters, anway!) ago.

That was when Minty and Cooky were killing them. Molloy hasn't seen his toes since then.Originally posted by Ching

indeed molloy has always played well against us ... but trading him, no way! i'd prefer a notting, bowden, or even street ... molloy belongs in the goulburn valley footbal league ...

Ahhh ...those were the days.
Cooky was a pie guts too, but at least he had a few good years left when we recruited him.

Long live Captain James Cook

Molloy, about 5 years ago was the hottest thing in football. He kicked a bag of goals in a 5 week patch.

He seemed unbeatable, now he can't get a game with the Woods.

If he does come to the Bullies, that I would not want, he would be good as a tough guy.

We have lost all of our tough guys. Kretiuk, Romero, Libba, Ellis, Southern - all of our biffers and scrappers gone.

How could we win a fight now. Who have we got to even things up! Who is going to put in those shifty punches. who is going to protect the young guys?

We need to recruit a tough guy or two. Not Molloy because he is OTH, but we need to find someone.

That was then, this is now. I'd rather take Richo than Molloy.

Couldn't agree more, lets not forget a goal sneek in the name of Kolyniuk;)

Soloman may be able to fit the criteria, but yes we need some old rough "Bulldog-like" toughness around to back up the likes of Hahn & Darcy

Hargrave can also pack a punch too, ask Heath Black

Doesn't get the ball, take marks or kick goals. Would fit in nicely, but in a word... No

I didn't say I wanted him. Agreed that was 6 years back.
Just a memorable game as we didn't lose many then.
