Interested? Suppose one hurdle will be the Mitch Clarke decision as for the uncontracted player, but if he did decide to play on and became a Giant, would be an awesome leader around the club.

But he would only have 1 year left in him. He shouldn't do it if he wants to finish his career when he played decent footy. But if he was on their list next year I have a feeling I would be buying some GWS tickets.

Can't see why we'd get him if he was only going to play 1 year for us. But if he were to play more he'd be a great signing!

Luke Power is a Rolls Royce footballer and if I was heading up recruiting / the football department at GWS I would be doing everything I could to get him playing next year. He is a triple premierhip player who is still in great physical condition and most importantly, his ability to lead on the field and mentor younger footballers is just about second to none.

I am disappointed he won't be at Brisbane next year and would love to see him still playing. Basically Voss has made a mistake in my book and it is one that GWS should try to benefit from.

Power is a culture builder and I think he would really tear it up in a forward pocket for you in 2012. Who knows, if he enjoys his footy, he may even play for a little longer.

It looks very likely that he will be at GWS next year the only question will it be a coaching and development role only , or will he play for a year then move into that role.

would love him to be our first captain
just about avg. 20 touches, 4 tackles and a goal from his 20 games this year
suggest body is in good enough nick to play maybe a couple more seasons
pace is the only real issue

I think he would be good pickup for GWS - even if it's only for a year. It would be a hardened body in the middle to help out all the youngsters. Sorta like what Harris did at the GC this year.

Even if he only plays 15 games that would be enough to help out the team - 18 would be better cos he would get to 300 games and he deserves that.

GWS can probably afford 3 of these older players. I wouldn't go anymore but the thing is there going to get them virtually for free. Let's face it. I would place a precedents on the following 3 in this order
1. Luke power
2. Kane Corne if unavailable Chad Cornes not both ( but speak with port and make sure they find out if there was anything behind the scenes that would be a deterrent.
3. Dean Brogan (as a full forward / backup ruckman)

Add Tom Scully and Callan Ward to that and pray that sam mitchel accepts the deal, then that's a decent start. Nowhere near as good as gold coast recruited. But who knows what will happen next year.

I think it'd be highly unlikely for Brogan to play on next year.

Agreed with Luke Power, but I wouldn't go near the 3 Port players. If you want more experience, Shane Tuck would be a better bet. Bloke goes 426% every time he plays for the Tigers, and because he won't play in the Tigers next flag, he doesnt get 22 games. GO TUCK.
