The original sci-fi horror sensation which graced the movie screens in 1979 is on its way back into the theatre with a director's cut of Alien.
All of the scenes which didn't make it into the original cut of the movie will be re-integrated along with a 5.1 Dolby track.
Also down the pipeline probably by Christmas this year will be a nine-disc box set of the whole series, which will not only have all of the special editions but no stone has been left unturned.
All the trailers, directors commentary and wait for it... Alien 3 has also been given the complete treatment with all the missing scenes to be accessible, including an extended sequence of where the prisoners actually trapped the alien in the toxic waste containment room.
So if you have the current Alien Legacy box set... you will probably want to get rid of them in the near future in favour of the 'ALIEN QUADRILOGY' box.
