Heard on 5AA Andrew Jarman will be the coach at the head coach at the Roosters next year.

I reckon thats a good appointment. He (in my opinion) will bring new life into the North Adelaide Football Club. No disrespect to Darel Hart, but he was boring. At least Andrew will bring excitement and attention to the club. I remember watching one of the Grand Finals on Foxtel when he was playing for North, I liked his celebration dance after kicking a goal on his left foot.

Good appointment by North, they can't go any lower.

Yeah, I think North have done well there. Jarman just might shake a few people up.

I am so happy my idol is back at North. I was bitter and heart broken when he crossed to Norwood after the 1989 Grand Final disaster. I wish him every success and go you Roosters.

He sold North out in a dash for cash, strange you'd be pleased to see him back.

Jarman is a clown. Are the Roosters going for more utensils?

Is it just me, or is this a last roll of the dice by the Rooters?

Great appointment (if true) and if anyone thinks he's a clown they're just being sucked into his media persona and either have no idea or are casting pitiful bait. Having met the man it's obvious he's the right man for the job.
Im absolutely stoked.
The other guys that applied for the job were inadequate to say the least.
Off the floor in 2004!

It's just you. And if you have any doubt wait for the Roosters Annual Report to come out, any club that can make the sort of profits we've made this year from various sources (full marks to Barrie R and others in marketing) after having our worst year will never die.
There's probably 4 clubs in worse positions than us now.

Not talking about your off-field status Wedgie.

Just wondering what will happen if a club legend with a huge media profile can't change things around on-field.

OK, but then I dont understand the terminology as even if things went wrong why couldn't we appoint someone else in 2 years time? The club won't die because of it.

Dont get me wrong, its an extremely important decision (and time for the club on field wise) but referring to it as a "last roll of the dice" as well as being extreme is just simply untrue.

What was the first roll of the dice?

PS It's now official, one of the worst kept secrets of all time in Jars being appointed coach of the NAFC is true.
Media Conference at 3pm.

Go Jars!

Not trolling here, but how is it obvious? The other applicants were "inadequate", so he hardly beat a strong field.

You just answered your own question Mcalmanac.
If the other applicants were inadequate and he was the ideal person for the job then surely it's obvious??

Seriously though, if you read between the lines of my statement it all stems from chatting to him before the rally, he's far from the clown he appears in the media, he knows his footy and is very passionate about his footy. Just the sake that he was involved in the Rooster Rally and brought his mates Phil Smyth and Steve Breheny said a lot about his passion for the NAFC too.

A fantastic appointment, and if you go into my forum at www.rocketrooster.com you can just see how much excitement its generated amongst the Rooster diehards.

I can feel the LOVE at North Adelaide again.
Wedgie: After reading Jars' comments in the paper yesterda, I was jsut wodnering if there will be a group hug after each game!
Share the love, feel the warmth.

On a serious note - good appointment.
Everyone bags Port Adelaide for not looking outside of their club for a coach, ut I think often it is a ood thing.
