Obviously they are the 3 big names everyone is trying to get at their club and organise a deal for.
All are worth a first round pick at the least so the question is which player has the greatest worth.
For me it would be rawlings.
Key position players make all the difference and one look at the grand final proves this. They dont even have to kick goals in order to turn games. Brown prescence alone played a huge role and roccas lacking swung the game firmly in the lions favour.
Next comes Brown, goal kickers are always valuable specially those that can kick bags and regulary do. Not to mention that brown is a more than capable midfielder.
Finally stevens.
Rakes up the possesion and is a effective player but not as good as the other two.

It depends on the team.

Melbourne and Geelong are perceived to have weaknesses in their key positions, so Rawlings would be of the most value to them.

Teams like Essendon and Fremantle have a solid goal to goal line, so they'd be keen on Robbins or Stevens. I suspect that Essendon would like a midfielder who can play forward, so they'd probably go for Robbins. Fremantle already have a couple of good crumbers in Medhurst and Farmer, so a wingman in Stevens would be the best value to them.

In regards to the Roos, I'd take on Robbins who can play midfield (where we lack an experienced runner), but who can also be used up forward (where he is capable of kicking a bag of goals - I'm not sure I'll ever see Harding get a bag of 6 or more goals like a good crumber should). Our goal to goal line isn't that experienced, but we have some kids coming through which eliminates Rawlings. Stevens would be useful, but I figure that I'd much rather give the responsibility to Wells and D.Motlop.

Similar to what Shinners said.

Different strength's and need's apply to the three.

Rawlings, the only KP player, less of them around than on-ballers. Therefore when any decent ones come up for grabs the market demand is higher.

Brown probably is the most individually talented but not to any great extent over Stevens. Also a couple of years older so return over-all on what you may get could 'even out' by the extra few seasons that picking up Stevens would give instead of Brown.

Horse for course stuff. Address the specfic need's that any of them would fill at your club and take the priority to fill it.

not enough to split them on an absolute basis. What does your club need?

a versatile KPP?
a dependable outside midfielder?
an outside midfielder / mercurial goal sneak?

If Rawlings was offered to every club, he probably wouldn't get as much interest as the other two. Brown is 2 years older than Stevens, so that's another factor. Then there is contract demands, ie Brown seems to want more than Stevens and Rawlings.

From an Essendon POV:
1. Brown
just behind is
2. Stevens
daylight
3. Rawlings

Not even close. FFS, Brown has been a star since he burst onto the scene as a 17 year-old. You couldn't get odds on him kicking 50 goals next year, even at the Tigers.

Give me a break.

Yeah but he costs a packet, hardly value.

You never know, Jabber. This dic-k may end up being the best value of the last 20 years. He just may price himself out of the market.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see him end up at Carlton in a wooden-spoon-winning team, absolutely spewing.Originally posted by Jabber
