Hard to go past the man who got us to a Grand Final so Alves for me.
Jezza coached us in the last decade? :confused:

Jezza was coach in 81 and 82, I think. Lindsey Fox sacked Mike Patterson after we lost in Rounds 1 and 2, and promoted first year player Jezza (swapped to Carlton for ex-Blue, Val Perovick)to captain coach and then non-playing coach. Jezza was, interestingly, replaced as coach by Mr Magic, Darrel Baldock.
Best coach is easily Alves. His sacking was a shock, to say the least, and highly dissapointing, especially in hindsight, considering the "efforts" under the man who replaced him.
Yep, I knew that. But this thread was meant to be about the best coach in the last decade. Jezza did not coach in the last decade.

Oh, I see. No worries. :)
GT is better with the players, but Alves tactically. It could change soon though :D

I hear St. Kilda are looking for an experienced ruckman to help out Justin Kochitze and Trent Knobel.

You will never get Del santo even if you throw in
2 first round picks and milnes manager is in brisbane
trying to sign up the brisbane players first so stkilda
havent been able to finalise that deal yet.:D

Ken Sheldon was the best in my book he coached all
the kids in that side that stan Alves took to the Grand Final.
Should never have been sacked,and was one of the first people
