so Corey wants to be traded back to where he started?

My question is, why would the Kangaroos want him? He is a shocking footballer, and is pushing 30 years of age

Do any kangaroo fans want him back? All he will do is get in the way of Petrie and Rawlings

The Roos of course have a bit of a soft spot for Corey - was great in our premership years

Everyone felt that he just didn't excel under Denis Pagan - when traded to carlton he was shocking for the first 5 rounds or so, got some confidence up, and won their best and fairest

then when pagan came back he was hopeless again.

For him to come back to North I think it would be a problem mre for Sav Rocca than it would be for Petrie or Rawlings. Porbably would also be unhelpful for the development of McIntosh and Hale but then those big men take a bit of time to develop and McKernan really only has a coulple of years left in him.

If we do get him I wouldn't mind if it didn't cost too much and if we don't get him I would probably be fine with that too

i'd be fine either way as well, i think corey down in the goalsquare could work, especially since mcintosh isn't gonna be ready in round 1

I'm not that convinced that McKernan will be of any benefit to the Roos. I'd much rather they took the punt and gave Porter the ruck role with Hale as the relief ruckman.

As for McKernan as a forward, we've got Rocca and Petrie with McIntosh coming through. If the Brady Rawlings deal is completed with Hawthorn, there's another option.

Also, as YM has pointed out, age is against McKernan.

I think Mckernan just needs to get away from Pagan and he may shine again.
It's obvious he doesn't like playing under him, so he should go. Besides, that would leave Carlton even worse off and that's something I can live with :)

Is Rocca going to continue though?

Is he still weighing up his options?

nah i agree with Shinboners
McKernan's turned into a pretty average waste of money
he's getting too old and doesn't have the strength that he used to
i don't think he'd be any good but maybe as a leading forward cause he can take marks allright

With Rawlings a possible, not likely IMO.

If we get Corza, not a chance.

I think Rocca plays a big part in this... if he plays next year then there is no spot for Corey, if he doesn't there may a be spot...

It also depends what we would have to give up... if we don't give too much up, it may be handy having him before Hale and McIntosh are ready to make a serious impact...

i like beaumont, but i can't see a spot for him at north. bairdy will likely be used in the rawlings deal too

I wouldn't be surprised if Carlton wanted a 2nd round draft pick instead. Next season is going to be more of the same so might as well get a half decent kid.

Carlton CANNOT trade into the 2nd or 3rd rd of the draft.

Corza's biggest problem is between the ears.

Roos need to concentrate on maintaining youth policy and forget Corzza.

They cannot trade into the 1st or 2nd rd's of the draft, 3rd round is ok.

Carlton should never have traded for McKernan in the first place.

You are welcome to have him back at Arden St.

Don't forget Carlton have also OFFICIALLY lost Matthew Allan, he has informed the club that under no circumstances will he play for Carlton next year. Therefore with the loss of Allan and now potentiolly Mckernan Carlton are left with nothing more than French and some very below par ruckman. So Why would they off load him wihtout a suitable replacement?

Also when Carlton signed Mckernan 2 years ago it was a lucrative 4 year contract, meaning that should he be traded back to the Roos who would pay his contract? Do the Kangaroos have room with the almost inevitable signing of jade Rawlings? With McKernan also being on a 4 year deal he cannot exactly just walk out on the club and take his chances in the draft.

As already pointed out by a few people here the Roos seem to have a wealth of Potentiol Ruckman and there appears to be no real need for Mckernan. IMO the only way this trade can occur is if the Kangaroos offer a trade to Carlton including one of there young Rucks. Is it really worth it?

North are not that desperate for McKernan and will not trade one of our young rucks for him. My guess on the future on McKernan is he and Carlton will come to an agreement and he will retire. He will then return to North as a skills coach to assist in the development of our young KP forwards and ruckman.

Carlton are only excluded from trading into rounds 1 and 2 of the draft.
Corey and Sav might be a straight swap
I think Sav is due for a change.
