I love trade time! as a Richmond supporter it has been the most exciting time of the year for a long long time!
so being bored and wondering if we can pick up Brown and how we would go about doing it i have whipped this idea up.
Howz about
Richmond Trade: Holland, Pick 6 and Pettifer
TO
Port in Return Trade: Stevens and Guerra and pick 46 to richmond.
Richmond then trade Stevens to Collingwood Who Trade their pick 17 and Scotland to Essendon who trade Jacobs and Bolton to Western Bulldogs who Trade Brown to Richmond.
So
Richmond: Gain: Brown, Guerra pick 46
Lose: Holland, pick 6 and Pettifer
Port: Gain: Holland, pick 6 and pettifer
Lose: Stevens, Guerra pick 46
Collingwood: Gain: Stevens
Lose: Pick 17 and Scotland
Essendon: Gain: Pick 17, Scotland
Lose: Jacobs, Bolton
W. Bulldogs: Gain: Jacobs, Bolton
Lose: Brown
Just throwing this up in the air, seems pretty fair to me, would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts. Really don't wanna see Richmond lose the number 6 pick but i can't see us keeping it if we are going after Brown, Solomon and the like. Hopefully we will be able to secure a first round draft pick some other way!
Um, no.
Leaving out Pettifer would make the deal better for us, hes a gutless hack. Holland is an injury prone guy whose future is clouded, and his trade value is ar less than two years ago.

thats one of the best 3+ club trade scenario i have heard this season so far. good effort colonel, dont worry you will never be able to keep everyone happy though!! from a neutral point of view i think its a pretty fair trade, maybe some minor tinkering needed, but a good job!!

i dont think essendon can lose both jacobs and bolton. maybe one and throw in someone else. the returns aren't too good either.
I think Essendon will be sitting out of this dance. Pick 17 and a fringe midfielder isn't good enough for Jacobs and Bolton. One of them, sure, but not both.

Whilst i see your point, you are greatly underselling Heath Scotland.
Richmond duds are seems to become champions at some clubs.
Port lacked mental toughness during the finals so I suppose Holland and Piettifer will fit right in.
*whine* Why do we have to end up with the Richmond players?

Why would you want to trade pick 46? Richmond will just waste it on someone who can't play to save his noggin.

cheers!
Good deal for Richmond, Collingwood
Fair deal for Bulldogs
Bad deal for Port & Essendon
Richmond: Brown is worth Holland and #6, Guerra better than Pettifer
Port: Stevens worth Holland and #6, Guerra better than Pettifer
Collingwood: Only Eddie could possibly give up so little for the best midfielder in the first half of 2003
Essendon: #17 = Bolton, Jacobs is worth 3 Scotlands
Bulldogs: Reasonably fair but maybe Jacobs and Richards is more reasonable for Essendon to give up

hopefully we would not give up both bolton and jacobs this trade season unless the deals are very good, one certainly but not both.

I said what Essendon got wasn't good enough. This comment related to what the Bulldogs got for what they gave up. Pick 17 & Scotland isn't enough for Jacobs alone

Rubbish.
Pick 17 & Scotland is worth Jacobs & Pick 43 (or maybe 28?).

nein
while we need outside midfielders, scotland isn't overly quick, so we would have no place for him in our side.
i'd give up bolton and richards, would prefer to keep jacobs.
Thanks year of the roo mate,
Yeh like i said i was just throwing this out there as a possibility,
Pick 17 is a first round draft pic and i am unsure as to whether Jacobs or Bolton are worth a first round? Scotland i believe is underatted also and at a different club would be able to show his true capabilites!
So combining the two it seemed fair to me for both teams.
Perhaps essendon could not afford to give up 2 talls so that could be a downfall.
I might see if i can get more clubs involved to try and even up the possible downfalls i.e can't afford to lose 2 talls!!
Make it a packed Dancefloor!:)

for Scotland and pick 17? maybe
On the other hand, that's not enough for Brown in terms of this trade

Connell, I challenge you to make up a 16 way dance. I know you like to spend all your soare time working all this stuff out ahead of most other activities such as uni assignments so if you are going to put that much effort in I can't see why this is beyond your capabilities

Colonel, I actually challenge you to create a 17 way dance, involving Hobart FC reserves player, Scott 'Stumpy' Reid!

Because you have to get what you can as every one WANTS to leave Port
Not bad colonel but cuz u are a ****a i hope it doesnt work out for you.
I cant see Essendon only getting pick 17 and scotland for Jacobs and Bolton, maybe throw in Mckee aswell?
not sure if the Doggies will be happy with that deal either, sure they get an alright deal but ive read they are going to trade Brown to whoever offers the most and they want a lot for him.
