Who thinks both of the shaws should goto collingwood? Braden is a good player but what do people think about heath? i think heath will play similar to his brother and take a while to break into the seniors is it worth getting both of them when they could get other players in the draft that could b better?

It is already confirmed that the club is taking both Braydon and Heath in the draft.

Of course they should have taken them..........................................
Brayden is rated in the top 3 kids in the state at the moment and heath is as tough as old boots

Brayden as a third round pick is a steal. Apparently using a second round pick on Heath isn't quite as clear cut, but the club has already made its decision and may or may not end up trading for higher draft picks (yeah, yeah - with what, I know).

Why wouldn't they?

Yep, I reckon we should have taken a risk and tried to nab Heath Shaw in round 4 or so. Effectively we have used a 2nd rounder to get him.
Yeah unless re can get Heath on the Lynchies it will take a long time for him to bulk up to AFL level.

Why don't you look at it this way:
Brayden and Heath Shaw for you 2nd and 3rd round picks.
Brayden for your second round pick is still a bargain
Heath for your 3rd round is about right and don't have to stress about another club beating you to him.
Definitely a win for the Pies...........

If both shaws are as truely incompetent as Rhyce Shaw was on Grand Final day, than Collingwood are in trouble.
Brayden was Vic Metro Captain this year. He'll go fine.

rhyse shaw was pretty soft in grand final. i rekon heath will b the same sort of player as him

ive seen brayden play and he could b a good key position player and would b tough.
This is all abit of news to me re the Shaws.
If the Pies are using 2nd and 3rd round picks for these boys, that only leaves the Pies with pick 17 to do a deal with Port for Stevens.
Obviously this is not enough for Port so I wonder who else the Pies would be prepared to give up for Stevens. I doubt there is anyone that fits into the 'Quality player/prepared to let go' mould.
I think the Bombers are out of the race for Stevens due to salary cap problems.
If the Blues are not going to give up their PP for Stevens then maybe Port might have to be happy with Campo plus another.
Who would the Pies be willing to give up that could match Campo.
The trade game is still on for a while yet.
You over rate campo plus he is on a huge salary and port don't need any more players who can't perform under pressure. Most likely 17 plus either scotland or lonie. Heard a wisper it could be Licuria or he could be used to gain a first round pick from another club as port wll take two first round picks.

Port need tall defenders. Stevens will not goto carlton they have nothing to offer.

If it was suggested the Pies were prepared to use Licuria to get a draft pick for Port, I reckon Port would want to accept Licuria. Doubt if this is true, though.
