Aliens is my fave, very closely followed by Alien.

Alien is also being re-released in Australia, i've seen the poster for it at a couple of cinemas.

Aliens.

Alien a strong second, but will hugely benefit from a little bit of modern technology.

Resurrection was enjoyable but not memorable. And Alien3 was simply garbage.

Speaking of Alien 3.... in fact the whole series, a new DVD box set is not too far away. It is soon to be released in the US and the UK.

The 'Alien Quadrilogy' box set has all four movies spanning nine discs, jacked up with every missing piece that the other box set just didn't have.

All the movies have been given the proper treatment.

The Aliens disc is very f#@$in' loaded with cool stuff, several behind the scenes features and other things adding up to about 220 mins just for supplementary time.

Alien Resurrection will have a bonus feature which will have an alternate opening and ending.

Then... ALIEN 3! Just the movie itself will be David Fincher's 2H50M long fully restored original cut of the movie with all of the missing scenes included. Including a longer cut of the prisoner's attempt to inprison the alien in the toxic waste containment facility.

Aliens is my favourite, followed by the original. Resurrection completed a fairly good trilogy (ignoring #3).

First
Second
fourth
third

The Aliens/Predator things been in pre-production stage on and off for years. Like to see it, doubt it will ever get made.

Prefer the first one by a mile, then the second, but didn't like either 3 or 4.

With Aliens, though ... this is one of those rare treats where a theme is completely Hollywoodised, and yet somehow still comes up trumps with a fun film ... seems to be an elusive 'swashbuckle element' that can only be found on some occasions.
