kevin bartlett has been saying for years that if you put matty richardson in the ruck, he will win a brownlow. the bloke is 198cm, 100kg strong and one of the quickest players at richmond. if richmond are trying to offload him, id prefer to recruit richo and leave allan alone. probably on a few more $ than allan, but would be great having to athletic ruckmen forwards in hille and richo roaming the place. Look at stynes and darcy, supposedly two good ruckmen, they get all there kicks by themselves on the wing. no ruckmen in the league could keep up with richo, and when resting would take a heap of pressure off lloydy and cupido. hed also be free to get the ball himself so wouldnt get so ****ed off when the ball wasnt delivered correctly to him (like it always is at richmond)
what does everyone think

I have said this before and I will say it again - Richo is 28 going on 29 and highly injury prone. If he cam to Essendon for nothing then ok. Otherwise no thanks

richo could play for 3 more years, and he is a gun when right. playing in the ruck would probably save his body as most of his injuries are explosive type (hamstrings, knees etc) that are more prevalent in full forwards who start, stop and turn instantaneously.

Richardson? And be the laughing stock of the league? No thank you. You might be right about flourishing in the ruck role, but let him do it at Richmond.

I'd take Rodan though.

If he comes to Essendon my membership doesn't get renewed. Full stop.
