...the ad for Sultana Bran with mum and kids singing "sultanas from the grapevine" to the tune of "Heard It ThroughThe Grapevine". Sadly, some pony-tailed advertising git probably got paid a fortune for this tripe. Agree/disagree? Other contenders?

I have to agree. It's a shocker. :o
It's an appalling ad, but for me the single worst and most irritating ad would have to be the one for Delfin.
It was on for only around 2 weeks when the aus open tennis was being played and it nearly drove me insane. All that i can remember of it was an old scottish woman saying the word "brilliant" and the motto "i know a place where we can go" being sung by an over passionate group of idiots.
The toilet paper ad with leyton Hewitt ran a close second at the time

Those Hungry Jacks ads with the song "Love it at Hungry Jacks" is the most irritating thing on the planet. I've vowed never to eat there ever again just because of that stupid song.
Footy fries?
Dinosaur footprints?
The Campo?
I hate Hungry Jacks.
Still not as bad as "zoom zoom zoom". ****in ****s me.

Hungry Jacks ads went crap from the moment they had Samuel Johnson doing those irritating smug voice overs. And nothing has improved since they stopped using him. I *loathe* HJ's ads. Of all the conventional ads on TV, theirs are the worst.

The ad that used to annoy me the most was those Sakata ad's.
Were all that happens is a rice cracker bops across the screen on top of the words Sakata with some old people with deeps voices in the background singing "SA...KA..TA.." BLOODY ANNOYING!
The new ad contending for most annoying after you have seen it a few times is those Warren ad's by Virgin mobile.

Talking about Samuel Jonhson, the worst ads IMO are those god awful bra ads that he features in. I don't know a woman who likes the ads and the morons who make them should realise that women buy bras not ugly, irritating guys like our friend samuel.

Not sure if other states get them but the TITAN ads up here in Qld are by far the worst on TV.
Basically its a father/Son raving about their sheds made by TITAN.

Well it may be crap, but it's the crap annoying ads like the one you're talking about that stick in peoples minds, so I guess it's a good marketing ploy.

There IS such a thing as bad publicity, whatever certain trendy marketing types may think.
My vote is for those BT (??) financial ones with a couple of talking heads wittering away about nothing in particular. Goes to show what happens when the ponytails stay out to lunch too long and the accountants get behind the cameras.......
Those ads have done their job. you are all pushing their products even further with all your banter about them. The more u hate them the more the ads work.
Top stuff all of you endorsed all these products without being paid a cent! Gold!

:( Knew the old "you remember them so they must have worked" nugget would come up again. However a lot of people will tell you they will make a point of NOT buying certain products if advertising annoys them. As for Sultana Bran, I have no strong feelings one way or the other. It's not as if their god-awful ad has made me a Sultana Bran convert...

The one that ****s me the most at the moment is an ad for a ute (so city people probably haven't seen it) and it's these guys standing around a BBQ talking about their utes in really high pitched voices. Another guy then pulls up in the advertised ute and they ask him what it's like... he says in a low, Barry White-type voice "bloody beautiful". BAH! No more!!!

And I've been boycotting Maggi ever since their ads went to **** as well.

Amen, sister!
The ad that gets on my nerves at the moment would have to be the new one for KFC with that ****ing Mary Sue family. The dad and the son are putting the finishing touches on the water feature in the backyard, the daughter is reading a book at the outdoor table and then mum walks out with a trayload of KFC. They all sit down at the table and start eating, and some voice over guy says "and with a free box of Sara Lee Cadbury Chocolate Bites, it doesnt get any better than this." and then you see the mum on tv saying "Nup, doesnt get any better than this..." and she bites into the Cadbury Bite thing. It's so ****ing pathetic,  Then the water feature breaks and water goes everywhere, dad rushes off to fix it and the laughter is so fake its PAINFUL! :(

What about the newer one, with the woman who says she moved to Caroline Springs because she loved "the lifestyle and the cafe."
Yeah, that's EXACTLY why I choose to live where I live. They've got a f--king cafe.
"Ooo honey, they have Lift! I can't get that in Taylor's Lakes!"
I'm actually building a house in Caroline Springs, but rest assured, the ads had NOTHING to do with it.
