in response to the unending cloning debate i bring up an expample

nature has created cows to be herbivors, but some genious scintist decided to feed them genetically altered meat, this meat was manufactured into granules so the cows were unaware of what they were eating.

From this geniuos comes the result, mad cow disease, as the 60 minutes program stated it couls effect anywhere between 250000 to 10 million people (and they will all die) in brittan alone, plus it was exported to 59 countries around the world, this could mean the deats of possibly anywhere from 1 million to who knows? 20 million? 50 million? 100 million? people from this desease. I feel no pity for the idiot that must have come up with this idea

what must have seemed to a demented idiot to be a good and efficient idea of feeding cows beef and other meats has turned into a catasrophy, one which no one had the ability to predict for sure, but everyone could have come up with the logic that if cows eat grass, they arent supposed to fed meat.

Cows arent supposed to eat meat.
People arent supposed to clone themselves.

I don't think you can really lump the two arguements together.

The driving factor to feed cows animal "by products" was money, not scientific advancement.

Plus, I must add, I'm not sure about you're figures on how many can die, etc etc. I'm also not so sure they understand how the disease works either, so I'll wait until I hear a good explanation until I pass judgement. If what they are saying is true,
this protein is pretty amazing... not only does it survive the enzymes and acids from your dinner plate to your stomach, it manages to get into the blood stream, avoid every enzyme in your blood designed to cut it up, manages to find its way to the brain, pass the blood-brain barrier (which is an amazing feat in itself), and once in the brain, after being in solution all that time, it decides to precipitate!!!

Can anyone confirm this????

Cheers,
Sbagman.

I didn't think so, but it was only fair to give an opportunity! :D
