Whats happening with Milney? I dont think hes signed a contract.
Ive heard from people that he wants to go back to essendon, will he stay and if he does want to, then why is he taking so long to re-sign?
Any news on the players thommo will axe? And when is the cut off date for de-listings?

I think the Saints have worked out they are better off without him because most of their best results this season were when he was not playing.

Milne isnt wanted at Windy Hill, Sheedy described him as a 'Little ****'
what about milne being used if Houlihan decides to go to st. kilda.. As soft as he is.. Carlton cannot let him go.. we need a core group of youngsters.. but if he decides to go.. lets go for milne to play like the crumbers we have had e.g. Lappin before pagan moved him to defence

Milne won't be traded.
His value to the club outweighs his value on the market.

Milney is a required player at the Saints and isnt going anywhere! Why would we give up a player who is capable of mesmerizing defences with a simple dodge to the left/right?
What would Geelong give up for such a valuable commodity?

Is that why the club were willing to re-sign the exciting group of youngsters well before getting around to signing up Milney.
And why opposition clubs have been beating down the doors to re-sign him?
I think you probably need to face the fact that although the club may see him as a required player (I sincerely hope they do), he struggled to win a place back in a team that was playing some very good football.
Don't get me wrong, I've love watching him play and look forward to seeing him re-sign in the next few days. I just happen to think the delay in the contract being signed suggests that he may be a little further down the pecking order than he would have liked and perhaps this is being translated in the form of a less lucrative contract.

For what it is worth we got Finnin, the club were just glad to see the back of Ronnie.

Milney has been accused of being a touch greedy, which would have stalled any negotiations. Your telling me you wouldnt have Milne in your starting 22? He was undiciplined against the Crows and didnt make it back into the side as we were smashing the bottom sides (Geelong the exception).
