nothing will happen until last minute, they do enjoy the pending and waiting. The only reason it goes for a week is so the Coaches can enjoy a meal and a drink @ Optus Oval.

Anyone remember how the Wobble supporters went ballistic because McGough didn't get the Rising Star nomination last year.
Was gunna be the comps next superstar, was better than Reiwoldt, the AFL was corrupt and blah blah blah.
Well the chickens have come home to roost. AFL career may well be over before he is 20.
still waiting

Must admit, he has nice wide alert eyes. Any club after a footballer like that?

Can't see why we would put McGough up for trade. He gets like 1 game this whole year. And in that game he gets 18 touches in one half and gets put back down to the seconds for the rest of the year!

A chance to stick the boot in to Collingwood and the serial troll awakes!
Outside of Betheras, none of these guys are necessarily going to be delisted after the trade period. McGough is being offered, because we have a myriad of inside midfielders.
Young Luke Shakleton is one who gets his head over the ball and will crack the seniors team next season. They're competing for the same spot! Competition for places in our midfield is fierce, as Scotland and McGough can testify.
Not all teams have a hard nut insider midfielder and we're offering him because he's well known and has won matches for us on five occassions. He's a good player and if we couldn't trade him and delisted him, I'd be furious!!
As for his ANZAC Day winning performance, at the time, we weren't certain of the Rising Star nomination process. As it turns out, nominations aren't awarded until you've shown consistent form (unless it's early on in the season). The Richmond youngster (name escapes me) who kicked 5 was another example of form over one great performance.
Eitherway, McGough's a bloody good player, who will get his act together and be a very good AFL level footballer. I hope it's with us!
Hope you've enjoyed your fishin'!

Yep, Shakelton is a better version of MCG so he is surplus to requirements and up for trade.
Cannot kick and will not chase, most clubs will see through the 'hype' and I suspect third or forth round pick is as good as we can hope for.
The information regarding day 1 ....from the guy who says freind works at AFL record ...... all is available on footygoss.com

I thought the same thing about McGough until I watched him more closely - his disposal is shaky on a good day and his decision making is shocking. Shane Clayton picks up 16-18 touches a game when he plays but would you take him?

Thats what happens at good clubs. Talented players can't get a game. Unlike StKilda, where complete hacks can play 200-300 games of mediocre football yet never be put under any pressure to hold their spot in the side.
