St Kilda is likely to play hard ball on talented midfielder Heath Black, who wishes to return to Western Australia.

Black, who grew up in Victoria, met his partner in Perth during the five years he played with Fremantle between 1997 and 2001.

They have two children and want to move back to W.A. for family reasons.

But St Kilda coach Grant Thomas said at the opening of trade week on Monday, that with one-year remaining on a contract, the Saints would have to receive an attractive offer from either the Dockers or the Eagles for Black.

He will be moving back to WA but it just a case of if Freo wants to get rid of Croad

I would have thought that this is pretty much a get out of jail free card for Freo to offload Croad.

Ironic because that is the exact reverse trade that got Farmer and Black where they are now (or did you know that?).

Except it was pick 17 not 20.

Sorry CFH looks more and more like Jeff staying at Freo.

Well... it is wishful thinking that trade I mentioned! :)

But, hey, in light of both players' last couple of seasons, that trade would be pretty fair!
