After the extensive write-up in the paper on Sheedy absolutely belting the Tigers on their recruiting strategy he apparently said that "under no circumstances would Essendon trade Dean Solomon to Punt Rd"
Bit strong? Big statement for sure. Makes it clear that he wont...or does it?

Its not a bad strategy - Basically say to Solomon
"We really want you to stay and wuill do anything to keep you but under no circumstances will we trade you to richomnd because they are a bunch of spastics at the trade table. If we can not convince you to stay we can set up a deal - just not with Richmond"
You got to remember solly is a sheedy favourite. So sheeds would be pretty cut up if he left. Plus the fact he hates greg miller sheeds would have been on knifes edge even b4 the meeting started yesterday. I dont think he has anything against richmond at all, only Miller

If richmond offered me Ray Hall for Dean SOlomon I would have some serious issues with Richmond as a whole - not just Miller

From what I hear, he's not the only one as far as Hook is concerned (from the hawks).
He's just such a popular man isn't he? Serves tiges right if they get jack-S.

The fact miller was sitting across the table with a big grin on his face didnt help. And yes the deal was laughable but im sure richmond will come up with something a lot better. If they are willing to pay 400k a year for him they must be desperate to get him to punt road.

Miller is too..they both are...sheeds anger is coming from the heart as he doesnt want to lose a favourite of his , especially to a team with miller at the helm. I dont know why miller is acting like such a prick..maybe he just hates sheeds that much

sheeds would hate seeing miller at richmond....hates him...
miller is a smart arse, yes he did some good deals when at north, but he like Pagan & Carey is now finding it harder away from the other good players, people and admin staff that north had/has. All three of these people did great things at north, not one of them did it on their own.

Sheedy should just shut the fcuk up and get on with doing what is best for the players, after all isn't he always on about the players welfare etc etc.
If Solly wants to go to the Tigers let him go, wouold he rather a player who doesn't want to play for the Bombers anymore?
All Sheedss does is try and lay a guilt trip on Solly and suggest that the Richmond players won't be nice to him if they have to take pay cuts. Sometmes it's not all about money Sheeds, there are players at the Tigers who I bet would take a cut for some finals sucess.
Get into the real world Kev, you have been living far too long in the past and are fast out living your relevance to the modren game.

Miller is too? Where, he has said very little in the press and just gone about his business, ive had the honour to work next to Mr Miller for a three month period when I was younger at the Kangas and all I have to say is if he wants something, hes hell bent over getting it, and whilst Sheedy will carry on like the senile old man he is, Miller will work away and keep that confident smile on his face, and you'll see the results at the end of the week....

Solly according to his manager still hasnt made up his mind on which club he wants to play for. Im sure if miller wasnt there and solly wanted to go that solomon would pretty much be a tiger no problems at all

Sitting across from the table laughing and sitting their with a stupid grin on his face. Miller knows solly is a favourite of sheedy. Miller and sheeds dont get on..the offer was horse****. If i was sheeds i would have laid miller out on his arse. A verbal spray from sheeds i think miller got off lightly. Essendon may well close the door on richmond like the bulldogs seem likely to do. finds it amusing that people on here think we are stuffed when it comes to brown and soloman because of what we offered.it was only day one of trade WEEK ffs.

good to see all these richmond ****ers getting ****ty now that solomon might no be heading that way. wake up!! you have to please both the player and the club if he wants to go. its not a charity auction cause you cannot get your own house in order. if you want him, put something decent on the table, and ray hall is an absolute joke. laughed when they tried to play him on hirdy last year. will be great to see solomon stay at essendon, brown go to hawthorn and the tigers drafting duds like fiora with there picks at the draft. good lcuk richmond, maybe in another 20 years you maybe successful
