trade for the either of the other 2 priority picks (W. Bulldogs 1, Melbourne 3)? I know that they are unable to "participate" in rounds 1 & 2 of the draft. Was the priority round included in the penalty?

Would it worth their while trading a Kouta/Campo type for example, for the picks if allowed? Seeing it is unlikely (not impossible) that Carlton would see significant success during their careers, is rebuilding more important than keeping them on the books?

Do Carlton have the cattle that either Melbourne or the Doggies would want for those picks?

absolutely not.

Doggies have said 1 and 4 not on the table and Melbourne wont trade pick 3 for all the tea in China.

sounds like one of carltons better ideas since they paid SOS and Williams extra money, but would have to trade Kouta and Campo for the one pick IMO

BTW, I'm a West Coast supporter.

I'm just wondering if the Blues have considered it. Obivously it is contingent on the Doggies and Demons agreeing to terms in the first place. I just thought it may have been a back door way for them to get early draft picks.

I guess I'm asking is it even "legal" in the first place? Have they been excluded in trading for other priority picks?

I do not think that either of thwe other teams with those picks would be interested in players like that unless they take major pay cuts and they are also getting very old and neither team is looking for a quick FIX. They are looking to develop there lists are many years rather than straight away then in two years these players retire
