New Rules to be introduced by the Essendon Football Club:
1. Domain names owned by EFC players may be sold to EFC and the money can not fall under the salary cap.
2. All EFC players must accept what is left after Hirdy and Lloydy get theirs.
3. No player may willingly leave the EFC. Players are either traded when we exceed the salary cap or they retire.
4. All clubs interested in trading with the EFC shall have their good name dragged through the mud and shall be the subject of scurrilous untruths raised by all and sundry involved with the EFC.
5. In the case of another club proposing an increase to a players wages, the following EFC Salary Cap Emergency plan will swing into action.
5.1. Player to be told that with Lloydy and Hirdy at the helm, the future is bright and money is not everything.
5.2. Article about Hirdy's private pain at losing a teammate to be published via all media. Most likely the Herald Sun.
5.3. Club shall be subject to abuse from Sheedy, citing the club concerned is "acting outside the laws of the AFL" "stuffing up football".
5.4. Idle threats about recruiting opposition players when they emerge from contract. Please disregard the fact that the EFC in all reality, not likely to do so. All queries in regards to the EFC non-ability to do so should be addressed to Lloyd and Hirdy.

And when all these rules fail, just moan and whinge, stamp your feet, have a bit of a sook.
Hey Kevvie, welcome to the world of where everything doesn't go your way. You didn't rate Solomon, so don't whinge when he looks for a team who might.
After all that, i still hope you keep him lol :D
PS: Great post Showbag lol

No, the tuth that all of the above worked to keep a genuine footballer from playing with your rabble makes me happier than you will ever know.
Enjoy playing Fremantle in your one and only 'blockbuster' next year.

copping ***** from Richmond supporters about trading........thats very, very funny. This is coming from the team paying Gaspar $2.5m over 5 years (Hird's salary takes up less space in the cap)
The only reason Richmond are so aggressive in their trading is because they are so terrible at drafting. Can't find their own talent, so they trade their draft picks for established players, then wait to see who is any good from previous drafts before luring them exorbitant salaries. Heres a hint for your Tigers.....they will be much cheaper if you manage to find your own talent.

That is the closest you will come to seeing a good quality player recruited into your club colours, a digitally enhanced image!

But, in all fairness, they have been thinking about this since the end of the home and away season, whilst the other successful clubs were busy planning and plotting for finals, so that explains why they have so many opinions of other clubs rather than worrying about their own.

I think you will find that most Richmond supporters are involved in gainful employment. Its a novel approach to life that Essendon fans could try one day.
Isn't it dole day today? Shouldn't the Essendon fans be down at the pub?

Well I suppose the dozen or so unemployed football coaches you have created can certainly show us the ropes.

This coming from a club that can't find their own talent so they splash cash at opposition players? ****wit.
Ottens, campbell, coghlan, zantuck, newman, krakeour, McGrath, Hall, the kellaways, Richo, bowden, rogers, rodan, Holland, schulz
Drafted players (off the top of my head) could check the team list but could not be bothered.

define talent for me. My definition doesn't cover Hall, the Kellaways, Rogers and Holland. They are defined by the word handy or described as a spare parts player

Hall - Your coach was wanting to swap two players for him last year.
Andy Kellaway - All Australian
Rogers - 200 games
is that enough ?

Biggest load of crap I've heard, and I've heard it plenty of times here on BF. Obviously it would have to have been two of Blumfield, Heffernan and Caracella. These are the men who we tried to and did trade last year. As if we would have offered that much for Ray Hall.
