I just wanted to know who richmond supporters hate more out of Essendon or Collingwood, as a mad tiger fan myself im struggling to choose after reading some of the posts by Essendon supporters recently.

I also want to hear peoples view on Kevin Sheedy.

I aslways hated Essendon more. Essendon supporters annoy the crap out of me the most. They are so arrogent and think they are on top all the bloody way.

Recently, Collingwood seem to have got the worse out of the two. Everwhere you look now is Collingwood. Ads, The Collingwood Show, News, the Paper... everywhere.

All of the above would be a good option.

To be honest - Carlton by far and away take the cake, the greatest moment in football in the past few years was watching the Blues fans swallow their prides and lose their draft picks while gaining a wooden spoon.

Admitedly there is no love lost with Collingwood or Essendon either. Still remember the 1995 final against Essendon when Scotty Turner knocked out two blokes and Matthew Knights kicked three amazing goals on the run. The only game on a par with that is the 2001 final against Carlton.

What a question...it's like saying which do you prefer...pigsh*t or dogsh*t....both are undeniably detestable...but I think I like pigsh*t the best cos it's easier to scrape off yer boots after another grandfinal capitulation...

Do you think successful clubs that play blockbuster matches, finals and win more than 50% of their games give a damn what you rabble think.

Enjoy playing Fremantle in your 'blockbuster' next year

a look at history would suggest richmond's arch-rivals are carlton and collingwood. apart from the early 40s, we didn't get anything going with essendon. however, efc are an arrogant & ignorant bunch with no respect for any other club or any player including their own unless they're names are Hird, lloyd & Fletcher. i don't expect anything more from the one-time blue-nose protestant bastards. 'times change, but generations stay the same.'

carlton & collingwood emerged from the working classes just like us, so that rivalry of being the best of your own brought out many great battles over the years.

sorry for the history lesson. business has clouded what footy and supporting your club actually meant one-day.

So do I, and I remember Richmond's reaction which convinced me that they were going no further. I could understand the younger supporters instantly developing big heads, they weren't accustomed to success after all, but I thought SOMEONE on the coaching staff would take hold of the players egos. Sure enough, slaughtered by Geelong the following week, and not heard from since.

I wonder if Scotty Turner is still comparing himself to James Hird, or if subsequent events brought him back to earth a little.

Collingwood for mine but often the response to this question depends on your age. Old tiger supporters who saw the likes of Dyer play will say collingwood. Those who grew up during the 60's and 70's will say Carlton. Younger tiger fans will say Essendon.

Richmond and Essendon historically seem to be on opposite 20 year cycles of success and failure. When one is struggling the other is bagging a number of flags.

The most unusual one is Hawthorn. For two clubs who have won 19 flags combined, we have never met them in a final.

I hate Essendon so much more. Kevin Sheedy needs to get over himself and stop trying to run the football world.

Agreed.... however, there is NO WAY that Sheeds is worse than Eddie... or even in the same league as him when it comes to trying to run the footy world or internal ego!

Has to be Carlton. Still dealing with 72, haven't begun dealing with 82.

Next is the lions, still getting over 44.

Essendon - neither here nor there, no particular concerns with them.

Collingwood - would be a candidate if they won a grand final but their one day in Sept track records precludes any significance being attached to this club.

Don't forget Round 22 2001. You beat Essendon by 4 goals to make the top 4! The Tigers were awesome that night!

Wasn't that the one we lost on purpose so that Carlton would get knocked out of the top 4?

Talk about a female who never forgets.

I hate North because Keith Greig took KB's Brownlow - never forgiven that lol. Oh, and the fact they bought their premierships in the '70s.

Carlton for obvious reasons. Actually, if i had a love/hate team it's Carlton - admire and hate them at the same time. They're run with similar ethics as Richmond was in the past, ie, they have none lol

Meet up, Peejay? I reckon you'd regret that one lol.
