Ben Holland and Kayne Pettifer for pick 20?
I can see this deal going through in the next couple of days. Melbourne want another player for pick 20, and Pettifer could be worth a punt.

You could forget about us paying $100,000+ of Dutchy's salary in this instance ....

Another consideration of ours is that we need to fill places on our list. We started the year 2 short and have already farewelled 5 more. I dare suggest after the trade period, there will be a couple more shown the door.
This means that when we trade, we also have a view to gaining more players.
With this in mind, I would probably moreso favour pick 20 plus a 4th round pick or pick 20 and a developing player.
Your suggested trade does seem to be the foundation for something worthwhile, as much as it hurts letting Pettifer go for so little after paying such a high price for him. Oh well, for us it is time to cut our losses and move on.
