i know this is way off the mark for this time of the year but has anyone herd about our major sponser for next year. i think deal with orange ends this year.
It's spelt Sponsorship btw.
The deal with Hutchison Telecom which operates in Australia under the brands of 3 and Orange is alive and well.
At the EFC Best n fairest it was announced that Hutch has put its hand in its pocket and coughed up for another couple years. This will be done, again, under the 3 brand in 2004.
Depending on how successful 3 is in the Australian market the sponsorship will be either 3 or Orange in 2005.

i was curious about this also, good news
too bad about the 3 logo though. it would be acceptable if they used one colour on all the guernseys - like red, which actually matches.
in the end though, it doesn't really matter does it ;)

I had heard that Hutchison was in financial trouble and wouldn't be renewing the contract which officially expired at the end of this year. Looks like they're still on board. So it looks like a couple more years of the "big 3".
The '3' has grown on me a bit. I hated it when I first saw it but it isn't so bad. From a distance it is actually pretty hard to see so the sash looks solid. As opposed to the Orange logo which completely broke the sash in half.
Does anyone know if there will be any end of season discounts at the Bomber Shop? I need a new guernsey. (Thinking about getting #8 for Winderlich and Boris).
