The challenge - to pick the best combined Richmond and Essendon side from players who have played at the two clubs over the last 22 years - No more than 11 players from either club can be selected and the interchange must have 2 from each.

No more than 2 player from either club can feature on any give line - eg centre line, half back line etc.

Consider this a chance for Essendon and Richmond fans to bury the hatchet over recent trading fracas.

I will start by picking the 11 Essendon players in preferred positions

FB Wanganeen Fletcher __________
HB M Thompson T Daniher __________
C M Long ______________ _________
HF J Hird
FF _________ M Lloyd __________

Ruck S Madden, T Watson __________

Interchange R Merrett, M Harvey __________ __________

No doubt Tiger fans will consider this trolling as they'll say no way known is James Hird better than their best HFF's, Pettifer & Fiora :p

Without positioning for a start

Matty Knights, Dale Weightman, M rioli
KB, Jimmy Jess (I think) , Micheal Roach
Tony Free, Brian Taylor, Mark Lee

Thats Nine from post 1980, and thats without a reference manual

Done

Lets Roar in 2004

p.,s 22 years excludes the 1980 Premiers, however most of that team played on for a few more years. Should have picked 20 years that would have been harder

that would make it since the beginning of 1981 wouldnt it? Remind me, what happened the previous september? Me thinks something very rare, but can't put my finger on it:confused:

The Previous 1981 -22 = 1959 . Not to flash from memory for the old bombers.

That what I was getting at halfwit. Selective timeframe to pump yourself up. Glad you figured it out though.

62 and 65 perhaps? That would make it 2 more than Richmond from 81-now

How about we just do the smart thing and count total flags. By my calculations Essendon win, 16-10 :D

Napier - your recent obsession with posting on the Tiger board has become somewhat disturbing ...

Time to pack yourself and your wife-beating mates and head back to your northern suburbs, I'd reckon ... or at least over onto the board of the next team to show any interest in any Essendon players.

Nice response Jessy - but I believe I am most welcome here and am interested in other fan's opinions.

Unfortunately yours is the exception

Not any more - please leave

After what Nappy posted on the Bulldogs board, do we really want him here?

Nappy writes:
" All I can say having already been violated by Richmonds recruiting tactics (as an Essendon supporter) I hope that Richmond falls flat on its face over their trading tactics.

Essendon has always said it would never openly pursue a player from a club going through tough times. Richmond obviously dont share such convictions."
