Bio...

Left-footed, powerfully built midfielder with penetrating kick. Can play across half-back.What the club says...

Matthew is an ultimate competitor who plays with aggression and thrives on the physical contact. He is a good clearance player, who is creative with his hands and has good lateral movement. He also is a neat kick, has a very strong work rate and pushes himself to exhaustion. We are pleased to add Matthew to our list and have no doubt he will leave no stone unturned to being the best AFL player he can be. He took our eye because of his competitiveness. He increased his ability to win the contested footy over the course of the year, and we think that's the type of player that will stand up at AFL level in the future. He's an ultra-competitive and very driven kid, and although he's got a little bit of work to do in a couple of areas, we think his competitiveness will enable him to be the best that he can.

His frame and left boot reminds me of Hunt from Geelong, hopefully he can crack a spot in the midfield asap.

iin the pre game warmup v Geelong, Hunt was torping it into the centre circle off one step and making it look like childs play, if this kid can be one of those i'd be more than stoked.....

He checked in on Facebook at 'Tiger Land' on his first day at the club.

His ego multiplied upon being drafted which caused a 5:30am beach session for the 1st-3rd year players.

If true, surely he did something other than having a boosted ego to get everyone an early 5:30am beach session. Strange no one has mentioned this before though.

Maybe in years gone by, but if it's true, then good. Glad we didn't know.

This kind of thing would happen at most clubs you'd think, good to know the boundaries are drawn and being enforced (if true of course).

I'm sure the kid will learn quick enough ;)

A footballer with an ego, who'd have thunk :p
