Tate Day was playing down at Coolangatta for a while, pretty sure he changed his surname. He and James Cook used to make a pretty handy forward duo at that level.

The Tate Day story is the amazing one, in the early days of the Rookie list the Lions had cut their training rookies to 2- Dave Lillico and Lincoln Wellington, i am pretty sure both guys were told they were a massive chance of being rookied, the Lions play Southport in a praccy match and Tate Day comes from nowhere and kicks five goals for the sharks, the 2 panthers boys who had done the whole pre season are then overlooked for Day who had done none of the pre season training and was playing for the sharks!

Former listed Brisbane Lion Tate Duku (formerly Tate Day), had a great game in his return to the Blues as a ruckman/forward.
