I took the wife and kids to the Botanic Gardens, we had a picnic lunch, the kids fed the ducks and swans, had some ice creams, we had a great time.
You teeny boppers here may not appreciate how much your parents would love to do this type of thing with the whole family, the reason is we realise that our kids are growing up, leading their own lives, and will TOO soon leave the family unit to start to start a life by themselves.
So kids, next time mum & dad say lets all go out together, don't whinge, just do it, you will have plenty of time to do whatever you want when you move out of the family home

Couldn't agree more with that. I just spent the whole day in the back yard with my son, and now we're all going out for dinner. How much better does life get?

Sounds like you had a top day Chris!!

I had a cool day...I went to Glanville Par 3 course today and shot a 7 over par which was 1 shot off my best. Went there with three friends. I then went back to my friends house for a lunch, then we all went out to Norht Adelaide golf course, and i shot a 11+ par which was 1 shot off my best 18 hole score!
So i had a great day!

I had a great great night at Colonial Stadium watching one of my teams..the Storm giving the Northern Eagles a walloping.
Great night, good crowd, lots of passion and a great game of footy.

You guys should give it a try one day, you don't know what you are missing.

And I tell you what it won't be long before the AFL cotton onto the idea.
The other game in Sydney with the Sydney Roosters and Broncos was a good one too.
Sydney people seem to be more accustomed to footy played on Good Friday.

I have a Christian background, but I can't see anything wrong in attending a footy game say of an evening, after spending time with family...it was great, and capped off with a good time at the social club after.

Cheers.

The missus and myself, and a mate, headed down to Narre where we were hosted by a couple of friends, listened to some Dylan, T-Rex, assorted 80s, and watched a heapload of Rolling Stones video clips for a chuckle.

T'was grouse.

Sorry Joffa, we didn't play any Springsteen, we played Plastic Bertand, Barry White and Paul Lekakis, though, will that do?

I wentb to movies at Fox Studios and saw 'Traffic'

What a fantastic movie - all about the 'War on Drugs' in the USA at the moment. What was so good about the film was that it showed all sides to the drugs debate without being judemental or taking one particular side, which was really surprising for a Hollywood movie.

It just gave a little thumbnail sketch of the whole drugs situation over there without the usual crap moralising that we expect to see from these types of movies.

Anyone else see It ? what do you think ?

Oh yeah - Catherine Zeta-Jones is gorgeous as well.

cheers
