Williams is a lot of things but on this occassion he is right.

Enjoy playing for the Blues and being hated by your former team Nick.

Couldn't agree more! Yeah, they really have something to hang their hat on, in years to come, they can say the didn't back down, and they still got nothing, but they sent out a message. Absolute ****ERS.

I love me some Mark McGough but i don't see why Port dosen't take him for Stevens. Mark is only 19 and will be a champion. Stevens is 23.

If you dont like it, tough. We're not letting him dictate to us. Imagine how you would feel if Chris Tarrant did the same to your club.

Yes I would be filthy but at the end of the day and with all emotions aside, I would still want something for him!

We couldn't give a rats ass about Stephens, it is him that wants to go to Collingwood, not the other way around! Pig headed Port stated the week after we beat them that they wouldn't do deals with the Pies. Bunch of whingers

I know what you mean. I'd rather get something for him too, but if he ****s the club around this much after everything we've done for him, I'd rather see him suffer in a team he doesnt want to play for anyway.

Collingwood doesnt deserve him. Actually, you know what, no club deserves him. His attitude is appalling.

Well done to Port for not backing down from their threat. No club in their right mind would accept a deal of Leon Davis and pick 32 for a player like Stevens. Leon can hardly make Collingwood's side that only has Didak as a genuine crumbing forward. How in hell will he get a game for Port in front of the likes of Pickett, Burgoyne brother and Dew??????

Collingwood wanted to take advantage of Port. Once again I take my hat off to Port for standing up for themselves. You can mark my words, never again will a player or another club try to mess around with Port during the trade week.

Collingwood are a real dills if the think one of Davis/Scotland/ McGough and 2nd round pick is fair trade for someone like Stevens.

Please thats the sort of trades you see around these boards of supporters dreaming of getting a star for and ordinary player and ordinary pick. Get real.

And never again will a club with a top 3 pick in the pre-season draft not have a quality Port player available to them.

Well done Port. You have stood up for yourselves. You have given away your best midfielder for nothing. Good luck next year.

The thing is, is that Stevens didnt $hit (Port) the club around. It WAS actually the other way around. Mark Williams is so insecure, and full of hatred he DIDNT want to deal with Collingwood at ALL, his actions are a get back at Collingwood because his own team (Port) did so badly in the finals and lost face and were beaten by Collingwood in the Prelim. So williams thought F**K you im not dealing with Collingwood at all and tried to make it damn near impossible for them by demanding 2 first round draft picks. $hit we're not talking about Buckley or Voss here. Williams actually tried to screw Stevens but Stevens woke up to what was actually going on in the end and said f**k you Williams your not doing that to me and pulled out of the deal with the Blues that would have given Williams the win of screwing over Collingwood and Stevens himself. That imbecile Williams would bite his own nose of to dispite his own face and kicked his own team in the guts at the same time.

Look Im not even a Collingwood supporter not by a long long way but it doesnt take a genius to work out and to see what went down here.

Whats to stop him from signing on to a 1 year deal with Port and trying his luck again next year????

Good on Port for not bending over and taking it up the Khyber Pass...

Look at the other trades done today....they pretty clearly show that Collingwood were well under the odds with their `offer'. ****, Steven Koops was worth pick #19.

Stevens isn't at Collingwood because Collingwood didn't value him enough to make sure he got there with a half-decent offer, because they were too busy being smart buggers. Its that simple.

Incorrect. Williams was never going to deal with Collingwood unless he got what he wanted, which was grossly over priced and he knew they wouldn't do it. Those deals that your refering to as guides are not actually real guides they were deals done towards the death of the trading period. Hell the bombers got pick 6 for Jacobs how desperate were the dogs.
