The Dogs got Rawlings, The hawks got Jacobs, Essendon got pick 6.
dogs also got Veale from the hawks.
Not a bad deal for everyone, except rawlings. I feel nothing for him!!!

He has gone into the pre-season draft peoples. The Doggies will most likely pick him up their, but if they don't then Carlton will

There will be an investigation into this for sure. Very dodgy deal.
The first part of it I loved :D - but then we threw it all away on Jacobs.
For Hawthorn:
In: Jacobs Out: Veale & Rawlings (big loss)
For Dogs:
In: Veale & Rawlings Out: Pick 6 (even)
For Bombers:
In: Pick 6 Out: Jacobs (big win)
We are a joke.

The Bombers also get Mark Alvey as well as Pick 6 :D
As well as Justin Murphy and Matthew Allan.
Big win for us - we only lose Corey McGrath (who struggled to get a game), and Danny Jacobs ... who while I rate quite highly, is replaceable in the form of Aaron Henneman in defence (in which he played a role in defence in 2000 and 2001) and not in the ruck!

Instead Rawlings and Stevens will now have to go into the pre-season draft on December 16 where they are likely to be claimed by the Western Bulldogs and Carlton respectively.
The Bulldogs are expected to claim Rawlings with the first selection in that draft while Stevens would then be snapped up by the Blues at pick two.
Hawks got nothing for Jade.

Actually, it's:
For Bombers:
In: Pick #6, Mark Alvey Out: Jacobs (really big win)
:D :D :D
Here are the particulars of the deal:
Jade Rawlings is in the pre-season draft, where he will be picked up by the Western Bulldogs.
The Dogs traded pick 6 to Hawthorn for Lochlan Veale.
The Hawks then traded pick six to Essendon for Danny Jacobs.
So the wash-up --
Dogs
In: Veale
Out: pick 6
Hawks
In: Jacobs
Out: Rawlings, Veale
Essendon
In: pick 6
Out: Jacobs
leaving Rawlings currently in limbo (ie the pre-season draft), where he will eventually be picked up by the Dogs, making it:
Dogs
In: Rawlings, Veale
Out: pick 6
Hawks
In: Jacobs
Out: Rawlings, Veale
Essendon
In: pick 6
Out: Jacobs

An even bigger win if it is true that we also got Mark Alvey from the deal!
AFL site is confusing
Says both Stevens and Rawlings are going to preseason draft, but that Hawthorn got Jacobs.
Any clarification.

footscray were very smart. they gave pick number 6 and alvey for a no-name (veale) so hawthorn would not trade with geelong and footscray could pick him up pre season. did not know they bred them that smart out west!!
dons have done very well though, pick 6 and alvey for jacobs. good deal. hawthorn get jacobs for rawlings and veale (quite even) and footscray get veale and rawlings in pre-season. good deal all round, not sure rawlings will be happy though
