Who says the honour is gone!
I like most people on this board at first struggled to understand how WB could give up no.6 draft pick and only get a 2002 65 pick in return. What I subsequantly realised is that WB will pick up Rawlings in the pre-season draft and the number 6 pick was compensation paid to the Hawks.
WB did not have to give Hawks any compensation and they could have still picked up Rawlings and had their no6 pick available but they did. This is a truely and honorable deed that all people of character and morals should applaud. Well DONE.
Note: I do realise that this was also a payment to Hawthorn for then not to further negotiate with Rawlings and try to retain him, its just that I do not really wish to a spoil a feel good story!

Nothing of the sort, if WB hadn't given the Hawks pick number 6, then Rawlings would right now be a Geelong player.
This act was of the lowest order by Hawthorn just to spite Rawlings.

I see this as being just another conspiracy theory as at the end of the day WB gave up to Hawthorn pick 6, which in my view is greater then Geelong offer.
As they say in the classics GAME OVER....WB win!!!!

Thats what makes it funny
I have no sympathy what so ever for Jade, club did everything it could for him while he was with us and he basically spits in our face, stuff him
After an awful day regarding everything else trade wise this just makes me smile :)
Compensation?
Sheedy can't finish saying that word without breaking out in laughter.
Pick 6 and a reasonably talented young bloke (Alvey) is now his remember.
