View Full Version : koops d'etat
If we eventually claim Rawling in the PSD, and Koops plays well, and the team improve next year then we will have to thanks him a lot for this:
Koops demand scuppered Rawlings deal (http://foxsports.news.com.au/story/0,8659,7614081-23211,00.html)

good pickup!
This points out 3 things:
1) thanks, Richmond, for raising Solomons salary to the point they couldnt afford koops
2) Essendon wanted koops but we got him so SIYJ (suffer in your jocks)
3) Sheedy talks out of his arse.
Stefoid, point 3) is right up there with death and taxes :)

We have complained that we paid over the odds for Koops but Essendon were prepared to pay pick 13.
Sounds more like a decent deal after all, Sheedy doesn't stuff up too many trades.

Agreed, I think there was another club seriously after him as well

Hmm this is a very reassurring article that we were doing the right thing in the clubs best interests...
It'll also help our support from the Darwin people (i'm assuming hes a local boy there)...
Sheedy should really worry about his own club, rather then everyone elses

That link is a dud Stef. I cant understand how you can be a good tackler but have a question mark on your toughness, I would have thought the two went hand in hand.

If there is a contested ball, I can put my head over it and pick it up, perhaps taking a hit in the process.
Or, I can do a byron picket and wait for YOU to pick up the ball, then deal out a hit or big tackle.
which is toughness?

Good definition. One is tough, one verges on cowardice.

Hmmm, Freo guys continue to say he is a great tackler and 'hard', yet not tough. Sounds like a kind of Byron Picket sort of guy, but more prone to laying a tackle than dealing out a hit when the opposition gets the ball.
Not neccessarilly too bad, as his job is to stop the oppositon from disposing of the ball first, and to give us some drive off half back second. Will be interested to see him play.
