This is by far and away the most appalling piece of singing I have heard in my life. He pulverised the song. I only caught a soundbite of it on "Sports Tonight" but that was enough to scare the girlfriend and I witless.
Let this man be banished, bad haircuts and all. Even the bogans cringed at this.

Sorry, but the rendition of the National Anthem before the Australia vs Argentina match of the Rugby World Cup, was a disgrace. It was awful.

Barnesy is a legend and some performances such as these ones should not form ones opinion of this legendary vocalist

Exactly - every artist has a bad performance, but Barnesy's had more sensational ones than most.

Doesn't even come near Maroochy Baramba at the 93 GF.

There was a shocker shown on The Fat last night.A Kiwi sang the Aussie national anthem before saturday rugby league game,between NZ & Aus,and it was woeful.
It's not the first time the Kiwi's have sung our anthem so bad.I think it was done before a Rugby Union game last year in NZ when the Aussie singer [dunno who] became ill and was unable to perform.

I remember Kulcha (cough cough) singing the Australian National Anthem a capella before a rugby league match. That was a shocker.

That was shocking but to her defense she couldn't hear the music. I have heard her sing on another occasion and she's actually not too bad.

When I was was 15, I was in NZ on holiday and it co-incided with the Wallabies tour of NZ..
They were playing Waikato at Rugby Park, Hamilton and when it was time for the anthems, the MC says,
"And now for the Australian National Anthem, Advance Fair!"
