The best quote I've read in the Herald Sun for ages:
"If it works out I go to the Bulldogs, I couldn't be happier," he said yesterday. "I know the guys, I think they're on the right track.
"As I said to Sam(his fiancee), whichever club I go to, I'll go there and try my hardest to fit in, I'll work my arse off to be a better player and win respect.
"I know I'll go there and have some of the best times of my life."
Welcome, Jade!
Contrast that with what's in the Age. http://www.realfooty.theage.com.au/articles/2003/10/20/1066631353973.html
I know which scenario I'm hoping for!

Which one is the more realistic?

All this talk from John Hook about trying to retain Rawlings is just to justify keeping him on the list past the cut-off. I would be shocked if he ended up in the National Draft and it's safe to say he isn't going back to Hawthorn. He's not over the line yet, but any complications that arise are likely to come from his nominated price for the pre-season draft.

On The Big Sports Breakfast on Sport 927 today, Jade Rawlings said that there was no way he would return to Hawthorn.

Everything I have seen of Rawlings in the media is that he is a real class act. He was amusing when interviewed by Shane Crawford on the red carpet at the Brownlow and hillarious with Sam Lane on After the Game.
It is a shame that he is been put in this situation but if he ends up at doggieland we will have got ourselves a class act.
Another "bad news bulldogs" article in The Age.
some things never change:rolleyes:

Well its a bad headline, tried to read it but it only reiterated what Rawling said in yesterdays Herald Sun which was mostly positive. Nothing really bad in the article at all.

I think Rawlings is definetly coming to the bulldogs because he has now said that he doesn't want to go back to Hawthorn. The only way he is going to play football next year is if he goes to the PSD. Seeing that we have the number one pick, I would say he will definetly become a bulldog next year.

Well it's not the most depressing article I've read, but it's decidedly more downbeat than the Herald Sun article.
Is Caroline Wilson still with The Age?
