Not yet, hopefully soon. Ideally, they should be out by now. I used to be fairly involved in membership, did my Honours Research Thesis on AFL Club Memberships last year

"By now and save - 2004 membershop at 2003 prices"
pretty embarrasing

edit: hehe, SonOfScray, very subtle :)

Got a different letter two weeks ago before the flyer.
Signed up already

I feel like going down there and scolding them soundly. Chicago, are you with me?

(I am also disgruntled that the letter was addressed to the Cats supporter, who was joined up under duress by me ;) )

Got ours today. Addy was impressed Chris Grant wrote a letter to us and he insists we should write one back!

Curly,

I think you should get in contact with the club and volunteer to be the official spell checker in 2004.

I haven't received my flyer and newsletter yet. Maybe next year..... oops..... next week.;)

What was wrong with what he wrote? Since you're so critical, I'm sure you wouldn't mind providing a quick analysis on why you think the key points he made weren't accurate.

Gnome, can you explain to me what Glory is? It musted have flitted by pretty bloody quickly because I think I missed it. Perhaps in 2004 the club can give us a demonstration? :p

I like the motto, very true.

I actually thought that what Rohder wrote was spot on the money. The key problems with our team this year were spelled out individually and addressed: structure, accountability, contested possession. At least there is a blueprint that the team looks set to follow in 2004. The question is now whether Rohder and the players can back up the strong words. Next year is a very important year for the club. We could do a 1997, and re-invent and re-invigourate the whole side, or could do a Fitzroy circa 1994, and slowly die. The hard ball tactics during trade week suggest the we will be doing the former, so bring on 2004!!

Rhoder covered everything that needs to be addressed. Players should be played on the ability to follow the coaches instructions first, and their 'reputation' or 'potential' last.

If he can get this message across then we will see a big improvement in 2004. We have a far better and deeper list available to him so there will no excuses

It would be interesting to know what a membership costs to buy after November 15th. That isn't disclosed in the letter. Are people asked to pay early and get an Adult 11 for $137.50 when it would only be $140 later on? Or is it a bigger saving?

Some criticisms of the membership flyer...

- we only got one in the mail....i suppose you can photocopy
- still looking for the section where you can say 'don't send it to me now because i want to get a reserved seat later'.
- are they seriously going to charge more that $240 or whatever it was for this years 17 (now 15??) game membership?
- spelling/grammar mistakes in the flyer/magazine again! Seriously it is not very professional. All they need to do is get someone...really ANYONE not involved in creating it to read it and the mistakes would be picked up very very easily.

Nothing really important here but still...

I like the new slogan though.

Or you could ask the club to fax one, or similarly, you could just go and get another, or better yet, just call the club and ask them to send you another, bearing in mind that it would be costly.

I'm guessing if you didn't see it the first time, that you're wasting your time by looking for something that's not there

Have you ever known membership to go down? I remember when it used to cost $85 for a membership.

Volunteer to proof read it then! :)

So i was being overly picky? And you were not being overly picky about what i said? Nothing wrong with some constructive criticisms for the membership department.

Nothing wrong, just felt like being a pest.

I spoke to the membership department just before about the "gym membership" type plan, and apparently it's not 100% to go ahead :(

Ok, you're wrong - it's 'profits'.

But yes they do do send out an annual report, not sure when though.
