Oh yeah cool,
was going to catch up with Nugget soon & find out what happened with the others but we might know before then, just have to wait & see when teh list comes out....
yeah poor "paul" hes a damn good player & it was a shame that he did have the knee injury & certainly was better after the minor surgery he underwent but yeah you only have one chance & it just wasnt meant to happen this way..... good luck to him
So damn proud of joel, for a bloke that kinda struggled a bit with his kicking before this year, he has put in the hard yards & it showed in his fantastic 2nd half of the season.... GO THE HOLE!!!

Rookie elevated to senior list

Former Mt Gravatt junior Joel Macdonald has been elevated to the AAPT Brisbane Lions senior list for the 2004 AFL season.
Macdonald was the new name on the club’s list submitted to the AFL late this afternoon that was missing Marcus Ashcroft, Jason Gram and Jarrad Wright.
Ashcroft retired after the grand final with a club record 318 games to his credit and a special place in the club’s history as one of its most consistent performers.
Gram, No 19 pick in the 2001 National Draft, was the first trade completed a fortnight ago at trade week. He went to St Kilda in exchange for the No 23 choice in the November 23 draft after playing two senior games in 2003.
Wright, selected at No 35 in the same draft as Gram, was delisted after being unable to register a senior game in two seasons. A solid performer in the midfield at reserves level, he was an emergency for the seniors twice this season and travelled to Melbourne for the Round 11 clash against St Kilda without playing.
Macdonald, 19 earlier this month, enjoyed an outstanding second half of the season with the Lions Reserves in the AFL Queensland state league competition.
A skilful midfielder who shone when moved back into defence, he is a former AIS AFL Academy graduate who represented Australia in the under 17 International Rules series.
All clubs will submit their list again on November 14 when any out of contract players can be delisted.
I'm a little confused now. Does that last part mean that even if we haven't yet signed Pike, McRae and Copeland, they will still be on the list that had to be in by 31st October, and if no agreement is reached they will be delisted on the list due on November 14?

Correct. I believe November 14 is the deadline to nominate for the pre-season draft. I think the National Draft's deadline is also on the 14th.
We can keep whoever we want on until that deadline prior to the draft - that way the players who we further need to delist, can nominate for the pre-season draft and/or national draft. The AFL just want initial lists confirmed and if any changes are to be made, can be made before the 14th.
Now, can someone please help me on this.
Can we still promote rookies prior to November 14? Coz I find it strange that Weller isn't promoted. He was re-drafted last year and placed back on the rookie list after having 2 years on prior to this year. Being re-drafted, does that mean he gets one more year on the rookie list providing he's under the maximum age?
