In the week leading up to the Grand Final, Clement and a couple of other Collingwood players talked about having a "Steely Resolve" with regard to reversing last year's result.

I was *****ting myself. I can remember thinking 'these blokes are serious, they're going to beat the living suitcases out of us'.

Thankfully, unlike CrazyManis, they talked the talk...but couldn't walk the walk.

Although comments by Brown and Aka after the game were not real clever...I'm guessing it will be a very physical match next time we meet.

I actually remember thinking (and hoping) in the lead up to the Grand Final that maybe Collingwood had already played the game a few times over in their head, and maybe they were a bit mentally jaded by the day of the game. This year they went in as favourites and there was a lot of pressure on them, and maybe this had an influence on their mindset.

As for the comments you are right, but I thought Lethal was a bit of a kill joy with his comments. He was right of course but I thought at the time he could have left it another week or so. But they've certainly fuelled the fire and it will sure be a tough game on Easter Thursday, both within and outside the rules I'd expect. You could probably mark Collingwood down for a win now I reckon. If it was Round 1 I'd be on the Lions to give the Pies another pumping, but it's not, so I'm not expecting that. Collingwood will have a hell of a lot to prove.

Collingwood are gone. They'll take a good year to get over that GF humiliation. Too many ordinary carried along by the likes of Buckley, Tarrant, et al.
