I'll never believe it.
4 years on the ****ing list? 4 ****ing years. How many ****ing games? Someone like Wright could have stayed, not to mention Weller. Weller has shown more than what Morro has shown and it looks like Weller gets the chop. This is a  SpecialBruce.
If Weller is not on our list next year, either senior listed or rookie listed, I'll be

The preview of that post that you just showed me on MSN would have had you re-mortgaging the farm so you could afford the swear jar contribution :o Where are all the asterisks?
Because we had a list with a few vacant spots, when players were elevated in 2003 for games, did they automatically get relegated back at the end of the season, or were they still considered as senior players filling the extra spots on the list?
And does anyone have ANY insight into this strange 'lodge final lists on Oct 31, then 2ndry lists on Nov 14 - but keep players not yet recontracted on the Oct 31 list, but delist them if still not re-contracted on Nov 14 list' situation? Is it like that every year? I just don't remember it being like that before.

Luke Weller was back on the rookie list by season's end. As for the list deadlines...the mind's too boggled to know. Too complicated for this fellow.

yeah if luca is to come back then he would probably be asked to train over pre-season & then get picked up in the rookie draft again

Sorry to barge in here... there's been three deadlines for the last few years but I don't remember anything about "Uncontracted Listed Players" 'cos I thought that if their contracts weren't signed by a certain date the AFL considered them delisted, which was what the second deadline was for.
Contracts usually end on the first deadline, the second deadline was to clean out players who's contracts couldn't be worked out, and the third deadline was to prepare for the preseason draft if the national draft didn't go to plan. Also with the third deadline are the player payment estimates for the coming season.
That's my take anyway. I dunno about what the AFL's trying to get at 'cos it just seems like making the clubs do more paperwork and kill more trees.
On the rookies I think players elevated during the season aren't automatically promoted for the next season but can be retained on the rookie list, promoted or delisted.
Hope that helps.

I hope he doesn't. He's being ****ed around with. He should have been elevated this year earlier than he was.
He will either be promoted to the senior list over the next 7 days or he'll be delisted. If he's delisted, I hope he doesn't come back. 3 years on the rookie list, a 4th would be pathetic. I know I wouldn't accept a 4th year on the rookie list. I'd take my chances elsewhere in the National Draft and Pre-Season Draft. If I was delisted from the rookie list after my third year and was asked to train with the club to go for a 4th, I'd tell the club where to go and say that if they wanted me, they would have promoted me when there was space on the list.
So if he's delisted, I hope he takes his chance elsewhere.

My cousin has been training with the lions of late, dwayne enkera, he's 6'4 and has won the battle of having cancer for around about 6 years. His father is afro american and mother papua new guinean (my dads new guinean) and though he hasnt played afl, hes a skilled rugby league/union player, he'd be a great pick up :) Look out for him.

Richmond are going to regret picking him up. Waste of a draft pick IMO.

If you reckon that, SB, I'd bet the farm on Morro winning the Brownlow next year.

How do you all rate Morrison? Would be very interested to hear your views. I haven't seen one second of his play.
Cheers.

He's got a very good motor for a tall, and is reasonably mobile. Has dominated a lot of games at AFLQ level, but has looked lost in the limited time he has been in the seniors. Only time will tell if he can make that large step up.

I know I might get hounded down here, but don't expect too much.
As others have said, performed admirably at the lower level (like a lot before him), but didn't look up to it at the top level.
He may be better now that he has a consistent opportunity (a-la Craig Bolton). Then again he may not. Nothing against him, and I wish him all the luck, but I think he'll struggle.
