I'm very jealous Sainter. Also I'm no computer whiz, just as well I try to take the attitude that I'm not too old to learn something new. Now to find which tree motivation is hiding behind :D

If you happen to find that tree Karnaby, could you please tell me where it is?

If I spent as much time studying as I did on BigFooty, I may have been able to pass. ;)

Great win on Saturday wasn't it?

Bloody overdue mate. I was trying not to be too impatient but fears of a repeat of last year were beginning to haunt me (yeh, I know I should have more faith, but, but, but.....)

One of the things that was good about the win was that there is still obvious room for improvement. To my mind we have the personnel to at least threaten/?match-it with any side on a good day, the thing is to create our own good days as often as possible. Just gotta keep hoping that will eventuate.

Re study: I can well & truly sympathise. My 1st year at uni lasted a mere 6 weeks, the rerun officially lasted the full year but it was raining too much on the morning of the first end of year exam (& I was sharing some good company) so that was the real end to it all. Plenty of other things to do in life & nothing to say you can't continue/come back to it later if the time is more appropriate for you. Frankly formal education isn't necessarily the duck's guts for lots of people, but that does not mean that they can't learn & grow for the rest of their lives.

Re the elusive tree: bloody thousands just out from the back yard, I'm pushing it to find the right one ;)

Wouldn't it be great to knock the hawkers off this week. It mightn't be overly likely but so long as we're on the paddock were in with a show. Happy barracking on Sat night.

testing mine out to. it is a cropped image of a door hanger that i downloaded from the gift section of the official site.

karnaby,

when you find that motivation tree send me a cutting, i need to get some work done.

she must have been pretty special to throw away a whole year of study. perhaps you should have been studing with the big head not the little one. ;)

Good one STL!

:D

Love the avatar too.

I agree with you Karnaby. There's no reason why we can't beat any team on any given day if we play our best. I think we have the best crop of youngsters that we have had for quite a few years and the veterans proved that they still have what it takes. And who better to harness their talent than Malcolm Blight.

To be honest, I think your priorities were well and truly in the right place. Uni definitely has to take a back seat to other more important things.

Well I’m obviously lagging behind in showing the colours; one day….

STL you’ve proven yourself very adept at reading between the brackets ;)
I reckon I was just looking for an excuse, there certainly hadn’t been much investment in study & it was an easier way out than with a series of inglorious failures.

Special? Yes, still a good friend many years later, & I’m happy with the outcome.

Now for the important stuff:

Go you mighty Saints
