Nah, Dunn isn't overrated. Good hands, wins the one-on-ones. Not exceptionally talented, but regularly performs well.

why all the hype about dyson pick 13 seems to high for mine.
I hope Walker slips to 6 and mclean to 13.
Overated he is if you think he is worth pick 13...late, late first round to second round he would be worth.

Dyson at pick #13 is fine.
Walker won't make it to pick #6. McLean is unlikely to get to pick #13.

Hype?...there is no hype about dyson...ive seen plenty of underage football over the last few years and i cant remember a kid as gifted as this bloke. Injuries slowed him down this year. He had some groin trouble and it restricted his ability to play on ball for long periods. But he still made All-australian and starred at the draft camp showing that the only thing better than his use of the football was his athletic ability.
Mclean 13..now that is Hype..one game has got all these people excited about him. he is slow and an honest hard Midfielder. If somebody is desperate enough for a hard at it midfielder then he will go first round but i think he may fall to collingwood at 17 at the very earliest.
Walker will go top 3...Tenace may fall to us

Fair enough, I'm still hopeing someone falls to us any1 will do prefer Walker he's a year younger and tall midfielders can be gold.

Exactly why he wont fall to us Joe...all the teams above us know he is a talent.

Agreed on all counts. Dyson should really go top ten, and while I'd prefer a good inside midfielder, after Sylvia there's a big drop to the next best. Dyson would be a worthy pick #6 by virtue of his talent alone.
If we were going to pick one of Calder's inside midfielders, we should look to pick up Bentick with our third round pick. He's being severely underrated simply because of McLean's great GF.

How does this look to you Marcuz:
Assuming Walker, Sylvia, Cooney, Tenance all go top 5:
Pick #6: Dyson
Pick #13: Dunn
Pick #28: Stewart
Pick #44: Bentick
Pick #76: Ezard
:D
Like it stevo..although dont be surprised if we go after the tough left footer from SA Beau Waters with pick 13

Neither would I, although I don't know much about him.
Someone like Nash or Peel could also be a smokey for pick #13.
I like Luke Peel..very skilled half back flanker.
Easier picking this weeks winning lottery numbers than it is to predict what sheeds wants to do on draft day. Let's just hope he lets Adrain Dodoro do what he is paid to do and thats choose the best young talent

Theres still No guarntee Dyson will be any good. D-Mac was good at underage level. This will sound stupid but pick 13 is different to collingwoods pick 17(where other say Dyson should go) say a Morrison slips to 13 should we take Dyson ahead of him, we have plently of outside midfielders, and wingman we've stocked up in recent times. Wheras if a Good KPP is available Wellmans getting on and Fletch isn't getting any younger, while Hunt is unproven.

D-Mac was no star at underage level. Dyson is an All-Australian. Morrison is a big forward. We already have richards , Laycock , Johns, Bolton, Lucas,Lloyd and Hille and Allan who will play there at some stage ...Morrison is to slow to play key defence. Most people actually have dyson going at 13. And as ive stated b4 as someone who knows Mick Turner from the geelong Falcons i know for a fact that he like me rates Dyson as one of the top 5 prospects in this years draft. And in terms of Talent he is in the top 3. Had he not had some injuries this year he would be being talked up as a top 5 pick. So if we do get him at 13 thats a bloody good bargain.

There is no guarantee that Cooney will be any good.

We don't want to take Clarke and then have him **** off to be with his brother in two years. If Tenace, Sylvia, Walker etc all go Top 5, we pick the best available. Simple as that. I would think about taking Dyson with that pick, possibly Jacob Surjan. If Surjan/Dyson/Waters and Dunn/McLean were still available at #13 I would take Surjan/Dyson/Waters any day of the week.
#28 has to be a project KPP - who it is will be a lottery. Hope for Stewart but you never know where he will fall.
#44 Can be anything really. Small forward, a flanker - probably whatever is the best available. Don't be surprised to see Sheeds take Bonson with this pick.
We won't be using #76.
Time to mix it up..we don't need 5 more 17-18 year olds..3-4 maybe.
#6 - Brock McLean..let's really cause havoc in the draft by nabbing him early instead of risking him not being there when it comes to later picks

pick 44 good choice
pick 28 very good choice
pick 13 please happen
pick 6 why would we pick him there if we could easily get him with 13? may aswell take dunn with 6 and dyson with 13 if we were thinking. I would rather clarke, even though im not a fan, than dyson at 6

Dumb move Pazza!
That'd be the biggest waste of a high 1st round pick since Mark Bolton. :o

or D-mac
Why do you think so ?personally one good GF perfomrance doesn't warrant a risk being taken on Mclean @ 6.

Hosko Dyson will end up a far better player than Dunn. If Dyson is the best available at #6, we take him. And I rate him as being a better choice than Ray, Clarke, Chaplin, Morrison, McLean, Surjan, Dunn and others.
With the Phantom Draft on Monday, perhaps it's time we finalise our decisions? I think it'll be easiest to post our top thirteen, and then our top tall defenders.
1. Cooney
2. Sylvia
3. Walker
4. Tenance
5. Dunn
6. Dyson
7. Clarke
8. McLean
9. Surjan
10. Ray
11. Logan
12. Trotter
13. Adcock
Tall defenders:
1. Stewart
2. Chaplin
3. Mundy
4. Gayfer
5. Bradley

Sheedy flew to Perth this weekend, and according to http://www.sundaytimes.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,7034,7878280%255E2762,00.html, spoke to nine Western Australians.
Interestingly, Sheedy revealed he is 'looking very closely' at two Western Australian boys, one of whom is a 'midfielder' and another who is a 'six foot two or three player'.
I know Sheedy is very interested in Matthew Moody from South Fremantle, so presumably the 'six foot two or three player' refers to him. As for the midfielder, I'm not so certain. Possibly Ray, Surjan or Burges, but I'm not 100% per cent sure.
Either way, don't be surprised to hear Sheedy read Moody's name out at pick 13, because I can't see him lasting to 28.
i predict a KPP will go earlier (as in top 5)!
6: clarke
13: dunn, surjan,
28: logan, ,gayfer, mundy etc
44: aaron davey, pettigrew
77: donno
Surjan would be a good pick for us at #13, and possibly even at #6 (although I've got nothing to go by but others' reports/opinions).
