Interesting comment from Woosha on the news tonight...
Youngsters he hopes to see stand up for regular selection in the 22 this season alongside Doogie: Gaspar, Hansen, Johnson, and Lynch.
It seems Lynchy's AFL career isn't as stuffed as we thought his 0 from 23 appearances in 2003 implied...

Unless it was along the lines .. 'oh yes, definitely I want to see Lynch stand up for regular selection... so I can tell him to get STUFFED!'

I still think that my theory about Worsfold holding Lynch back last year so he can win the National Bank Rising Star Award has some merrit ;-)

To help the Black Ducks win a premiership, he know's where his priorities lay.

Hansen sure is a strange one...
A few months back there was talk he was unhappy with his opportunities with the club and that he was interested in moving back to Victoria.
Last night on the news, they showed vision of Hansen smiling, laughing and getting stuck into the training drills.
Maybe Woosha has promised that he will get an AFL game if he starts the season off well and does the right thing on the training track?

Its a wasted opportunity if he isn't gonna get a game.
Whats he like in the WAFL?

Ashley Hansen
Played 18 games this year. Injured from round 8 - 10. Kicked 42.20 for the year. Was given a towelling in Round 15 v Subi and Round 17 v East Perth.
Averages
13.7 possesions per game
9.8 Kicks per game
3.9 Handballs per game
6.3 Marks per game
2.33 Goals per game
it still confuses me why woosh played wilson and haynes in the key forward posts as much as he did. i guess he was just trying to get the best team on the park, but i would have thought a youth policy would see these kids come up and play more than they did. all those games by willow and haynsey are now experience for other clubs
still, hes the one down there at the training sessions, not me

Was Hansen upset with the contract offered to him, or the homesickness? I thought it was the homesickness factor but never really considered the contract offered.
I'm assuming here, but I guess it was a combination of, lack of oppurtunity, contract and homesickness.
