May be the same as your choice in the 'most overrated artist' thread... may not be...

For me, Vanessa Carlton wins hands down...

about 95% of the excuse they call artists on the Australian top 40 which is a joke and who would listen to it so slow and outdated and the public keep the same artists at the top of the charts and making them look good

I'd give Pink one for sure!

I thought the same about Linkin Park until I saw them at Livid. They went off although i was under the influence of something or other.....

Anyway for my award it's Oasis....Hate is such a strong word, but I will say I dislike them extremely....

At the moment it's Shannon Noll from Australian Idol. I just can't stand him! Why is he so popular? Whenever I ask people why like him they always say "because he's a good Aussie bloke." and "oh, he's a good dad" I'm sorry but when did being a good dad mean that you could be a singer. If that's the case then why isn't my dad recording number 1 hits? :p But seriousy, face it people, he can't sing and he can't dance. I mean with his dancing all he has to do is a little out of time kick and everyone is gushing saying "oh my god, he has learnt how to dance. He's just hot as!" I don't think he's that good looking. I mean what's with his little goaty thing he's got happening (no offence to all of the guys out there that have little goaty things.)
The other thing I've heard when I've asked people why they like him over Guy is "atleast he looks Australian." 1)That is incredibly racist and 2)SO WHAT!!!!!!! He still can't sing.
I sat writing about this particular topic for a whole double period in Creative Writing last Thursday. I think I'm going to have a break down if Shannon wins.
Thank you for letting me rant and rave for a couple of minutes.

50 Cent and Ja Rule (and all the other ones similar, but those two the most).

I must have done something very, very terrible to be cursed with having to listen to them whenever I'm with my friends. :(

I can't see how anyone can "hate" Delta Goodrem. I know there's alot of people out there who choose to go against the majority and "hate" someone just for the sake of "hating" them, but Delta? Give me a break. She isn't a 'skank', her voice isn't all computer-enhanced, she doesn't talk behind other singers' backs- if anything, her traits should make her one of the more admirable popstars.

She is a talented singer (may not sing the best type of songs, but has a good voice), seems to be a very decent human being, and upholds a lot of traits that Australia can be proud of. I am yet to hear Delta even remotely bad mouth anyone, and she seems very humble in all her success so far. You may be somewhat sick of the deserved publicity that Delta receives due to her successful singing, and her illness, but surely there's no reason to hate a good human being simply because of this.

That's her problem, I think. Just another boring artist in this country. I hope she starts giving Kylie some stick, at least delta writes the material she sings.

Who do you guys reckon would win in a fight? Delta or Kylie?

You'd be surprised at how easy it really is to hate her. Most people I know feel the same way. Some more passionate than I.

And you know what, it's my prerogative to hate whoever I like.

Hell, I hate 15 teams in the AFL for example, even the team you follow. But I don't beat you down for it, so just accept it.

Being able to make 'judgements' is sign of intelligence.

Yet, I tend to think being a shirt-lifter like yourself just makes you a target for ridicule. :)

Oh boy, where do I begin...

Black Eyed Peas (shot to prominence in these rankings a few months ago after completing the biggest sell-out in music history)
50 Cent and G-Unit
Ja Rule
Pharrell Williams
Sean Paul
Justin Timberlake
Blu Cantrell
Beyonce Knowles (not as to say I wouldn't tap it)
Eve
Limp Bizkit
Linkin Park

Just generally any of the **** that gets played in clubs. I could come up with hours of completely dance-able tracks that aren't complete rubbish.

If you were an artist, no matter how good you were and no matter how many ppl liked you, there would always be ppl out there that hate you....you just got to accept it.....although i'm not sure on some of the reasons y ppl hate some artists.
