We need to decide on who we are going to pick ahead of the Monday start of the draft.
Opinions should be posted, but post in order of preference so that we can pick the desired player who is NOT already selected.
Our selections are 6, 13, 28, 44 and 76.

For pick 6 my first priority is Sylvia/Walker/Tenace but im thinking that they will be gone. Therefore my order is:
- McLean
- Ray
- Clarke
We will be able to get one of these three if not one of Sylvia/Walker/Tenace.

Pick 13
- Dyson
- Dunn (so long as we don't pick McLean)
- Chaplin
- Watts

For Pick 28 i like the idea of selecting Michael Johnson (as suggested on bomberblitz) from WA. However he could go earlier to Freo or Wet Toast so here is my contingency plan:
- Michael Johnson (WA)
- Luke Peel
- Jay Nash
- Daniel McConnell
- Jed Adcock

Pick 44 depends on who we select in the first few rounds. If we don't get McLean or Dunn i think Adam Bentick from Calder should be our selction at 44.
- Bentick
- Harry Miller
- Joel Campbell
- Brent Stanton
- Alex Gilmour

Pick 76 is not really a big deal but i wouldn't mind getting James Ezard from Calder who is the nephew of former Essendon player Alan Ezard.
- Aaron Davey (so long as we don't get miller)
- Ezard
- Craig Jovanovic (WA)

What do you guys think?

Pick 6 - Tenace (will skip on Bradley)
13 - Trotter/Waters,
28 - Adcock
44 - Stanton (if available).

If these guys are available at these selections they will be Bombers in 2004.

I'd be happy with all of those, but we need to pick up a tall.

Trotter is not very well known by many on bigfooty so i say pick him up 28, he should still be available.

your first two picks have been different to what you said above taking dyson at 6 (could have got him at 13 easy) and surjan at 13. I still wouldnt mind having these two guys at the dons though...

There were four of us doing the picks, Waspy.

I said "your" in a collective fashion, meaning whoever was doing the picks.

Apologies, I thought you were speaking to Hosko.

For those of you have missed them - BigFooty.com Phantom Draft selections as chosen by bozza, marcuz, Stevo and Hosko.

#6: Ricky Dyson (Northern)
#13: Jacob Surjan (South Fremantle)
#28: Callum Burges (West Perth)
#44: Ryan Murphy (Gippsland)

Pick #13 was a bit of a stuff up - we all completely forgot about Beau Waters but we were still happy with Surjan.

During picks 25, 26, and 27 we were stuffed up - we wanted to take Stewart, Johnson and Spencer in that order with 28 but they were all taken in that order with 25, 26, and 27. We then had to settle for what we saw as the best available selection, rather than taking a tall.

taking dyson at 6 (could have got him at 13 easy) does that sound familiar to anyone? Stevo or Bozza perhaps?

We took the best available, and he may not have been available at #13.
