View Full Version : Zimbabwe chasing 233
West Indies rolled in their second dig after making 481 in the first!
And it's only day four... plenty of time for Zimbabwe to win the test and clinch the series after just missing out on winning the 1st Test.
Go Zimbabwe.

They won't make it.
It should have been 2/8 - but the third umpire didn't know whether Jacobs caught the ball.
At tea on day 4 Zimbabwe are 3/33. The pitch must be wrecked.
Dillon, Hinds and Banks the wicket takers.

DaveW, who's side are you on? ;) :p
We've got this won. We should wrap it up by the end of the day.
23.3 Hinds to Wishart, OUT: Hinds strikes again! pitched up wide outside the off stump, Wishart drives and gets a thick edge wide of Gayle at second slip who gets a hand out and stops it, Jacobs dives and grabs it inches above the ground.
Seems like a good catch that.
9 balls later,
24.6 Banks to Carlisle, OUT: gone! pitched wide outside the off stump and turning in sharply, Carlisle had to play at it and gets a thick edge, Jacobs make no mistake and Banks gets another wicket, Zimbabwe in deep trouble now.
They used Blignaut as a night watchman after the wicket of Wishart. It backfired.
After 26 overs, 5/62
Hinds has his best figures thus far. 2/20
Banks is currently on 2/16.
Whilst Dillon has the other wicket.
Edwards has come back onto the field a few overs ago, so hopefully he is right to bowl and knock over these next 5 wickets as soon as possible.
Edit.
As soon as I posted another wicket fell.
26.2 Banks to Matsikenyeri, no run, RUN OUT! suicidal run! pushed straight to Edwards at cover and Matsikenyeri takes off for a quick single, Blignaut sents him back, the throw comes in nice and flat, Jacobs does the rest, Zimbabwe in all sorts of trouble.
Well, he's been involved in one wicket. Has another 4 to go. At the end of the 27th, 6/63.

28.6 Banks to Blignaut, OUT: gone! pitched touch outside the off stump and straightened, Blignaut gets his pad out and offers no stroke, huge appeal for LBW and the umpire raises his finger, Banks gets his third wicket, seven down three more to go.
7/64 after 31 overs.
Banks has career best figures of 3/18, wiping out his best figures he got on debut against Australia of 3/204.
He deserves 5 wickets. It looks like Edwards won't be bowling, so hopefully Banks gets the next 3 and gets 6. :D ;)
Only rain can save Zimbabwe now.
