View Full Version : Clone Wars cartoon
Quite a big deal was made of the news that a Star Wars cartoon, potraying the events between episodes II and III would be made. It was released worldwide on November 10th, and that included here in Australia where it debuted on the cartoon network.
It consists of 20, five minute episodes, of which the first 5 were screened last week. I've been taping the 5-minute inslaments and adding them together to eventually get the 100 minute story.
Has anyone else caught any of it yet? I can say, that it has been very impressive. Very action-oriented, thus far, and an insight into the exploits of Anakin and Obi-Wan in the Clone Wars (which was alluded to in the original trilogy.)
Can't wait to view all 20 chapters sequentially.

Sounds fantastic, any way to get it on the net?
Heaps of places to download it.
All 5 episodes from the Monday to Friday are shown back to back on the Saturday and Sunday (i.e today)
Tomorrow (Monday), chapter 6 will be shown, and that will go right through to Chapter 10 on Friday. The episodes air from 4:30-4:35pm and are repeated from 7:00-7:05pm on channel 28. Then, next Saturday, chapters 6-10 will be shown back-to back.

Not a fan, but did watch it whilst taping it for a friend.
It wasn't too bad, nothing special though.
Hehe, it's hilarious. I love it! The style is awesome.
More examples of George Lucas destroying the memory of the original movies with childish crap.
Having said that, it's quite violent, so I can't complain about it too much.

Childish? This makes Jar Jar Binks look like the glint in the milkman's eye.

Are you agreeing or disagreeing? Seriously, I don't know what that means.
The cartoons were not aimed at a childish audience any more than any of the 5 films have been. The cartoons felt like Star Wars, especially with the screen wipes and music. By the way, the character who appeared in the last chapter (chapter 20) is the new villain of Episode III. What we saw of him was meant to be a tease to lead into the film.

Disagree that it's childish. If you want to know what I meant, watch Black Adder III. :D
