Do you think Burges will still be available at pick 20 if the Eagles pick someone else at 11?

Yes.

Unless the dockers want to spite us and take him at 19

Did you watch 10 news last night? They had a feature article on him. Finally got to see footage of him playing for West Perth. He might be available at 20 but then again he might not even be available at 11. Apparently Essendon are a chance to take him at #6. I guess he must be the real deal.

Yes the footage they showed certainly made him look good.

Hrm
Freo will in the end have to choose out of Burges and Moody at pick 19.
If either is taken before then, the other will be a docker.
Ray,Surjan/McLean and Moody/Burges.
Take him early or you wont get him

i agree he won't be there at #20...Surjan could be a very good player for us if he's there at 20

Yes, of course, because you have all the inside information from the two clubs.

For all we know Burges is a dud, who was overhyped by the media looking for a story. If he's the best player at #11, pick him. If he's not, let him slide.

Sabre, I highly doubt Ray will be available at 10, and I think Surjan should be available at 19 if we don't take him at 10 or 12.

On the topic, Burges won't be available at 20, he could go anywhere between 6 and 11. I'll be very surprised if WCE let him slide at 11, if he is available. If they do, he should be taken at either 13, 17 or 19, well before WCE's second pick. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised to hear Essendon call his name at pick 6.

if Burges is available at pick 20 I'd hope we pick up, unless some gun slipped through.

But I wouldn't take him at 11.

LOL, Footygoss have made a major **** up of this one. If there's one positive to come of it for Burges, I guess it means clubs will pay more attention to him next season, where he will hopefully be spending the majority of the season playing WAFL Colts.

West Coast would have learnt a bit about the use of internal memos as well.
